At Long Last, We Have A New ‘Howling’ Movie
Believe it or not, it’s been 15 years since the last Howling sequel, 1995’s New Moon Rising. A remake of the original is threatened from time to time, but otherwise it seemed the series had finally been silver bulleted. Not so fast. Today, Anchor Bay announced that they have acquired distribution for all English speaking territories for the appropriately titled The Howling: Reborn, which is currently in post-production. I assume it will have no connection to any of the other sequels, not that I can blame them based on the ones I’ve seen. They put the “The” back in the title though, so there’s something. Joe Nimziki wrote and directed the flick, and according to IMDb, Erin Agostino is in the cast. Full press release, including a truly wretched description (“Twilight with bite!”) is below. No word yet if the werewolves will be part marsupial.

The Howling is reborn. One of the most admired horror franchises in screen history is about to run wild again and this time, it aims is to grab an even wider audience. Anchor Bay Films is proud to announce that it has acquired all rights for English speaking territories to the eagerly anticipated The Howling: Reborn, an all-new, totally original chapter written and directed by Joe Nimziki. The deal was announced today by Anchor Bay President, Bill Clark.
The legend of The Howling began more than 30 years ago, with the publication of Gary Brandner’s best-selling novel and the subsequent film adaptation written by Academy Award
The killer tomatoes are back in Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, and the offiical poster for the brand new movie has been unleashed tonight.
Additionally, we’ve learned that the film’s theatrical release is set for this August, with a panel set for San Diego Comic-Con this month featuring the world premiere of the trailer.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence will be released in select cities across the US beginning August 7th in major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Diego, and others, and expanding to further locations throughout the month.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes co-creators Costa Dillon and J. Stephen Peace return to write and executive produce. David Ferino directs.
The film features an ensemble cast led by franchise icon John Astin (The Addams Family), reprising his role as Professor Gangreen, comedy legend David Koechner (Anchorman), Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), horror favorite Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier), comedy veteran Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), Myrna Velasco (Star Wars Resistance), Vernée Watson (Shrinking, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), and Paul Bates (Coming to America).
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes launched in 1979, followed by 1988’s Return of the Killer Tomatoes, 1991’s Killer Tomatoes Strike Back, and 1992’s Killer Tomatoes Eat France.
The franchise also spawned an animated series in 1990.
