First Look at Amanda Seyfried in ‘Red Riding Hood’

Published

on

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke takes a fresh stab at the werewolf genre with Red Riding Hood, the Warner Bros. horror drama starring Amanda Seyfried, Shiloh Fernandez, Max Irons, Julie Christie, Gary Oldman, Michael Hogan, Lukas Haas and Virginia Madsen. Arriving in theaters March 11, the studio provided Entertainment Weekly with the first ever images that can be viewed inside. What we learned: Seyfried wears a red hood, and likes to make out. Cool. David Leslie Johnson (Orphan) wrote the script, which is set in a village haunted by a werewolf. It is a Gothic retelling of the “Little Red Riding Hood story”, with a teenage love triangle at its center.

Adam Wingard’s ‘Onslaught’ Receives ‘R’ Rating for Strong Bloody Violence and Sexual Material

Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) is getting back to his roots with the A24 movie Onslaught, and the film has received an ‘R’ rating from the MPA this week.

Releasing in theaters on September 4, Adam Wingard’s Onslaught is Rated ‘R’ for “Strong bloody violence, some gore, sexual material/nudity, and language.”

Watch the previously released Onslaught trailer below.

The duo behind The Guest, director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett, are re-teaming for the upcoming Onslaught, which stars Adria Arjona in the leading role.

Here’s the synopsis: “When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.”

Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla x Kong) and Dan Stevens (The Guest) also star in Adam Wingard’s upcoming new movie Onslaught alongside Michael Biehn, Reginald VelJohnsonEric WareheimDrew Starkey, and Alex “Poatan” Pereira

Wingard has spent the past several years making Hollywood blockbusters including Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and the idea behind Onslaught is to get back to his filmmaking roots. Onslaught looks very much in line with Wingard’s fan favorite The Guest, so much so that fans have been speculating that it’s set in the very same universe.

Dan Stevens starred alongside Maika Monroe in 2014 action-thriller The Guest. He played a mysterious ex-soldier with a secret agenda who wreaks havoc on a small town.

At the very least, The Guest and Onslaught look to be cut from the same cloth.

And yes, Dan Stevens is in both of them!
