‘The Frighteners’ Director’s Cut for Blu-ray
In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios is preparing Peter Jackson’s The Frighteners for Blu-ray on September 13, reports High Def Digest.
The film stars Michael J. Fox, Chi McBride, and Jeffrey Combs; was produced By Robert Zemeckis; and features music by the legendary Danny Elfman.
The release will include both the theatrical cut and the director’s cut (adding 23 minutes to the film) in 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Peter Jackson Intro, The Making of The Frighteners, Feature Commentary with Director Peter Jackson, Storyboards, My Scenes, and Pocket BLU.
Fox plays a con-man who converses with the dead finds himself caught up in a series of murders committed by the ghost of a serial killer.
One of contemporary horror’s best werewolf movies is 2017’s Good Manners, and it’s finally set to receive a proper physical media release.

Set in São Paulo, the film follows Clara, a lonely nurse from the outskirts of the city who is hired by mysterious and wealthy Ana to be the nanny of her soon to be born child. Against all odds, the two women develop a strong bond. But a fateful night marked by a full moon changes their plans.
Good Manners is the second collaboration between filmmakers Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra, who write and direct. Zama’s Rui Poças‘ cinematography captures this unique werewolf tale described as “Disney meets Jacques Tourneur.”
