‘Scream 4’ Blu-ray Stills Detail Alternate Opening Kill
With Scream 4 Blu-ray and DVD hitting shelves on October 4th review copies are being sent out (look for our review of the disc and special features soon) and now we have a look at some stills from the alternate opening to the film included on the disc.
I remember seeing one of these featured a lot online prior to even the theatrical release as an official still. I imagine it was issued before they knew the scene was going to be cut. When I saw the film in theaters was expecting to see this kill in the body of the film… and it wasn’t.
I’m curious to see the cut footage. Apparently there’s almost half an hour of it. Scream 4 arrives on DVD/Blu-ray on October 4th.

Over one month later, Scary Movie is still playing in theaters and still making money, with the franchise’s brand new installment slashing into $224.5 million at the worldwide box office.
In fact, the Scary Movie franchise has now collectively passed $1 billion in theaters!
Scary Movie is headed to Digital at home soon, and a listing on Amazon this week indicates that the film will be making its way to Blu-ray and DVD this coming September.
The film is listed for DVD and Blu-ray release on September 22, 2026.

A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!
