Head to the ‘Chillerama’ on VOD This Thursday
While still passing through limited cities, those of you with VOD can check out Image Entertainment’s horror anthology, Chillerama, on various video-on-demand and movies-on-demand platforms starting Thursday, September 29th. Bloody D hit up the premiere earlier this month and was not a fan of the hyped splatterfest featuring the works of Adam Rifkin (“Wadzilla”), Joe Lynch (“Zom B Movie”), Tim Sullivan (“I Was a Teenage Werebear”) and Adam Green (“The Diary of Anne Frankenstein”).
“It’s the closing night at the last drive-in theater in America and Cecil B. Kaufman (Richard Riehle, Bridesmaids, Hatchet) has planned the ultimate marathon of lost film prints to unleash upon his faithful cinephile patrons. We get to meet the characters and creators of some of the most infamous (and most hated) B-movies of the last few decades. People who make movies purely for profit – no pretension, no artistry, just monsters, C-listers, and chaos. A film that both genre fans and cinephiles can enjoy. But Mockbuster isn’t just about filmmaking, it’s about losing sight of your dreams, and reclaiming them in your own twisted way,” Director Anthony Frith said in a statement.
From Executive Producer and famed documentarian David Farrier, Mockbuster opens in select theaters and on digital platforms beginning July 10.
