‘Report 51’ Viral Asks If There’s Anybody Out There?

Published

on

The official website has been updated for a new first person indie by the name of Report 51, a film that appears to “get it”. Unlike most cinema verite indies, these filmmakers have bent over backwards to create a small viral marketing campaign that includes clips and other goodies. Get started at the link above, or be a lazy like me and watch the trailer and new viral below.

Starring Michela Bruni, Luca Guastini, Viola Graziosi, Damiano Martina and Ann Pierssens, the movie is currently in post production. The director, Alessio Liguori, has co-written the script and co-produced the film with cinematographer Giuliano Tomassacci.

The found footage is what four unaware American students experience after a strange and nonetheless unintentional sighting. They decide to organize a week-end in the woods to research what is going on and the video-documentary is the faithful recording of a happy jaunt among friends which soon turns into a terrific nightmare and in a struggle for life. These four friends quickly forget their jealousies and the juvenile flirts to escape from an impending, extraterrestrial, threat.

Maika Monroe (It Follows, Longlegs) stars in the upcoming psychological horror thriller Victorian Psycho, and Bleecker Street has unleashed the brand new official trailer today.

Watch the official trailer for Victorian Psycho starring Maika Monroe below.

Victorian Psycho releases in theaters September 25, 2026.

Maika Monroe stars as eccentric governess Winifred Notty, who arrives at a remote gothic manor where strange happenings stir suspicion that she’s not what she seems.

Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho), Jason Isaacs (Honey Bunch), Ruth Wilson, Amy De Bruhn, and “Hamnet” breakout Jacobi Jupe also star.

Zachary Wigon (Sanctuary) directed the film from a script by author Virginia Feito (Mrs. March), based on her novel of the same name. Victorian Psycho is produced by Dan Kagan (Longlegs) and Sebastien Raybaud (Greenland: Migration).

Victorian Psycho is rated ‘R’ for “strong bloody violence and brief sexual material.”

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Carnage becomes pretty dang delightful in Maika Monroe’s capable hands. Victorian Psycho operates on familiar slay grounds, but it’s an absolute blast thanks to its zany style and deranged sense of fun.”
