TV: Oh The Horror. ‘Fringe’ Returns!

While we won’t be covering this on a regular basis, it’s still mind-blowing (and pretty cool) that Fox continues to renew and air J.J. Abrams’ bizarre “The Fringe,” which stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and Lance Reddick in a television drama centered around a female FBI agent who is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena. The series premiered back in 2008 and has been through an array of battles to stay on the air.

Beginning tonight, “Fringe” returns with eight new episodes in a row. In tonight’s episode, “A Short Story About Love”, “Following the recent shocking revelations and emotional events, Peter weighs his options as the Fringe team investigates a killer targeting love.

‘Her Private Hell’ Official Poster Spotlights Stars Sophie Thatcher and Charles Melton

Sophie Thatcher stars in Nicolas Winding Refn’s Her Private Hell, and a brand new official poster this week celebrates the fact that we’re just one week from the film’s release.

Nicolas Winding Refn’s Her Private Hell will be released in theaters July 24 via Neon.

In the film, when a mysterious mist engulfs a futuristic metropolis, unleashing a deadly and elusive entity, a troubled young woman searches for her father. Her quest collides with an American GI on a harrowing odyssey to rescue his daughter from Hell.

Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets”), Charles Melton (“Riverdale”), Kristine Froseth (How to Blow Up a Pipeline), Havana Rose Liu (No Exit), and Diego Calva (Babylon) star.

The ensemble also includes Dougray Scott (Hitman), Aoi Yamada (Perfect Days), Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool & Wolverine), and Hidetoshi Nishijima (Shin Ultraman).

Nicolas Winding Refn directs Her Private Hell from a script he co-wrote with Esti Giordani (“Vida”). Pino Donaggio (Carrie, Don’t Look Now) composed the score.

Refn produces under his byNWR Originals banner. Executive producers include Takuma Takasaki, Kimberly Willming, Christina Erritzøe, and Lene Børglum.

Her Private Hell is rated ‘R’ for “some strong/bloody violence, sexual content, and language.”
