Image Entertainment Dates ‘Last Kind Words’ For Home Video
Image Entertainment Inc. announces Last Kind Words, an allegedly thrilling horror film about a young teen who moves to a secluded rural farm and learns that the surrounding woods have flesh-crawling stories to tell, for release on DVD and Digital Download May 21st. Directed by Kevin Barker (Five Fingers) and featuring a cast including Brad Dourif (Halloween I, II), Spencer Daniels (Star Trek), Alexia Fast (Jack Reacher) and Marianne Hagan (Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers), Last Kind Words is a chilling visual nightmare that will haunt viewers long after the last credit has rolled.
“17-year-old Eli has just moved with his family deep into the backwoods of Kentucky to work on the isolated farm of a local recluse. Inexplicably drawn into the strange forest that lies beyond the farm, Eli encounters the beautiful, sweet and mysterious Amanda– seemingly the perfect girl. But with the discovery of decaying bodies hanging from the trees, he realizes that the forest…and Amanda…are harboring some very dark secrets. Suddenly, Eli is living in a waking nightmare where the lines between life and death are scrawled in blood, and there is no escaping the terror from beyond the grave.“
One of contemporary horror’s best werewolf movies is 2017’s Good Manners, and it’s finally set to receive a proper physical media release.
Icarus Films is partnering with OCN Distribution to unleash a new Blu-ray that’s now available to preorder via Vinegar Syndrome. and with a limited edition slipcover.
Set in São Paulo, the film follows Clara, a lonely nurse from the outskirts of the city who is hired by mysterious and wealthy Ana to be the nanny of her soon to be born child. Against all odds, the two women develop a strong bond. But a fateful night marked by a full moon changes their plans.
Good Manners is the second collaboration between filmmakers Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra, who write and direct. Zama’s Rui Poças‘ cinematography captures this unique werewolf tale described as “Disney meets Jacques Tourneur.”
