Author Shares Gruesome Early Excerpt from New Book ‘Meg: Generations’

Ahead of the release of feature film The Meg in August, author Steve Alten is unleashing the sixth book in his mega shark series that inspired the Jon Turteltaub-directed film.

As of last month, Meg: Generations is now available for pre-order, and it’s being sold exclusively through Steve Alten’s website. If you want it, the book must be pre-ordered by April 22, and it’s expected to begin shipping this coming May.

“Book six in the bestselling MEG series picks up after MEG: Nightstalkers with David Taylor in the Salish sea attempting to locate and rescue any surviving Megalodon pups before a local fisherman slaughters them. Meanwhile, Jonas is coerced into joining an expedition into the Panthalassa sea in search of a prehistoric predatory species possessing liver enzymes that can cure cancer.”

Everyone who orders a copy of MEG: GENERATIONS in hardback by March 15 will receive a little memento from me,” Alten notes. “The NEXT goal is to hit 5,000 books sold… when we hit that number I will sign EVERY BOOK! And YES, if you purchased the MEGnificent 7 package, I will sign your copy regardless.”

He continues, “If we hit 10,000 books sold… the first 2500 orders will receive a 24 x 36 inch GENERATIONS poster for FREE. I will have to charge for the poster tube and postage… unless you want it folded and placed in the box with the book, but I think that would ruin it, and this poster.”
