Robert Kirkman’s “The Walking Dead” comic series has been running for a long time. As a result, a lot of the story we’re seeing in AMC’s TV series has already happened in the comics, leaving us to wonder if the show will go down the same path or, as it has done in the past, go a new route that defies the comic’s storyline and ushers in a new path. Of the times it has done this, some have been highly received while others were met with incredulity and anger. For example, Andrea’s fate in season 3 shocked viewers who read the comic, mainly because Andrea is still alive and well and felt like a totally different character.
But what about other characters? What about Dale or Abraham or even Rick? What about Glenn? Those of us who have read the comics are entering the 7th season with the knowledge of what happens there and, as such, we have our own suspicions. Will the show follow the path of the comics or will it do something else?
