Classic story Say Cheese and Die is entering the digital age.
We told you back in July that IDW Publishing is bringing the Goosebumps franchise back to the world of comic books with Goosebumps: Monsters at Midnight, a new series launching on October 25. But that’s not all that they’ve got in store for the property.
Via press release, IDW Publishing, in association with Scholastic, just announced that they’ll be releasing another three-issue arc, “DOWNLOAD AND DIE!”
“In the tradition of the classic “Say Cheese and Die!” story, this spiritual successor takes that concept and puts a digital spin on it for the iPhone generation. Today’s kids will now have to contend with a smartphone app that snaps filtered pictures which depict nightmarish outcomes. In true Goosebumps fashion, the danger is real!”
The brand-new, self-contained Goosebumps story comes from the talented duo of writer Jen Vaughn (Adventure Time) and artist Michelle Wong (Tomboy).
Look for “Download and Die!” in February 2018.
