The Undead Get Liquefied in Clip from Tony Todd-Starring ‘Zombies’

Presented by Cameron Romero, son of the late George Romero.

Horror icon Tony Todd is no stranger to zombies, having previously fought off the undead in Tom Savini’s Night of the Living Dead. He finds himself in a similar battle in writer/director Hamid Torabpour’s Zombies, released in limited theaters and VOD outlets today by Broad Green Pictures.

Check out a particularly bloody clip from Zombies below, wherein the undead are literally ground up and turned into liquid by a combine harvester!

In the film…

“With the world in shambles, plagued by a zombie outbreak, Luke works to clear the streets of the undead, helping anyone left unscathed. After a rescue mission goes off the road, Luke is saved by his old flame, Bena (Raina Hein). Back at camp, they join up with Detective Sommers (Tony Todd) before they are over run by a horde of the undead.”

Steven Luke (War Pigs) and Aaron Corteau (After the Dawn) also star.

The title and poster concern me.

    • MeeGhoulz

It gives me the HOTD Overkill vibes! If it’s aimed to be anything like that I’m alright with it…

    • Saturn

Where for me, it’s your lack of faith….

      (ahem – Imperial March….)

the trailer (i posted it above) is what concerned me. LOL. i like Tony Todd but the movie doesn’t look very good IMO.

  • J Jett

for some reason it was almost impossible to find an actual trailer for this movie (i couldn’t find it on youtube) but i finally found it. here it is….

Throw in an actor from a beloved horror movie and attach the name of a famous horror director to fool people in to thinking they directed it and you got like over half the shitty horror movies that fill up the Netflix horror section. Props for changing it up and attaching the son of a famous horror director.

    • zombie84_41

for real they need to get rid of all those shit films on netflix. i always want to watch then but i cant do shitty movies no more my brain is fried from all the shit i was thought would be good

      • MeeGhoulz

What really bothers me is that some of these movies have some good ideas but waste them on poor writing or lack of interesting characters…

        • zombie84_41

Likewise. Like when I read the plot first they sound dope than the way they pull it off is so cheap. Honestly I wish hollywood would remake films like those instead of movies that don’t need a remake.

Where can I watch this movie, Nerflix? I’ll give it a watch.

    • Hamid Torabpour

      Itunes, amazon

      • Joshua

        Cool thanks Hamid!

  • HoReeFook

    Sad

  • MrTorrance

It looks more entertaining than The Walking Dead.

    • MeeGhoulz

Man, that’s easy! If they at least tried to do a series inspired by what the comics try to do… Watched the first season and was enough for me.

      • zombie84_41

hey wanta really torture yourself try watchin season 6 and 7 straight through. Thats torture both seasons are so shitty and thats putting it nicely

        • MeeGhoulz

          …I can’t! I just can’t!

          • zombie84_41

LOL. Oh come on it’ll be fun they said.

          • MeeGhoulz

I’m trying to calculate the amount of beer that would make it bearable… I would end up homeless!

          • zombie84_41

lmao or dead. Its so not worth it. I almost became a crackhead because of last two seasons i hope they kill off half the cast and all

          • MeeGhoulz

Comics on the other hand never cease to amuse me!

          • zombie84_41

same. I used to read alot if graphic novels a few years back it was all I read. Idk why I stopped.

          • MeeGhoulz

            Try digital. It’s quite pratical.

          • zombie84_41

Awesome thanks yeah I read a few comics on digital it was pretty rad. I really got get back into it

          • MeeGhoulz

And while we’re are at it, Kurosagi Corpse delivery is one of the most interesting horror comics out there! Have fun!

          • zombie84_41

Awesome sounds really rad and weird. I’ll look for it.

  • Saturn

Seems that the reviews are pretty scathing.
Shame really as I was hoping Romero Jr could be the one to continue his ol’ man’s legacy.
Seems that “the dead” died with George. 🙁

    • xcalibrate ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

If more recent offerings from George are anything to go by then Romero Jr would be continuing his ok’ man’s legacy.

  • zombie84_41

i dont gotta watch trailers or clips to kno this be a shit film. hey remember the time when zombies movies were comin out everyday and were actually awesome. Yeah I do too. TBH the last decent good zombie movie i watched was the rezort

    • J Jett

REZORT was really good! i just re-watched (my 3rd time!) a really good Korean zombie film called I AM A HERO…

      http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3775202/?ref_=nv_sr_4

it’s not reinventing the zombie wheel (story-wise) but the zombie fx are fantastic (as is the blood/gore). the “Olympic High Jump” zombie is fucking freaky as fuck (you’ll know what i mean when you see him…if you watch the film) and the final battle between “the Hero” and about 100 zombies is fucking epic!

      • diapers

Sweet! Never seen or heard of this one, sounds good.

        • J Jett

i hope you like it! 🙂

      • zombie84_41

Sounds legit. Train to busan was good too. I’ll have to look out for it.

  • xcalibrate ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

That scene, the idea, was lifted straight from Evil Aliens – all that was missing was the ‘combine harvester’ music by the Wurzels

  • Eric

I watched this on the weekend and it was ok. It’s not anything new (although they do try a twist at the end), but it was kinda enjoyable. I prefer the lower budget zombie flick as they always seem to be made with a bit of love, as opposed to the higher budget where it’s just kill count.
    Worth checking out.

  • Dennis Chenier

This was terrible. I am normally easy to please but this one is atrocious.
