coolllllll.
hell yea
Creepy shit… Phenomenal acting.
Robin Williams’ acting in this film reminds me of Norman Bates in Psycho, unpredictable, desperate and lonely make for an interesting and daring character, a fascinating movie that is probably the best villian Williams has played along with his character in “Insomnia”
Creepy. The movie was very hard to categorise, as It’s definately not a horror, but then if it’s a thriller, it’s not very thrilling, but thriller was the only category it fits into. The film is great. From start to finish your eyes never leave the screen. The films creepiness level’s are peaked when the character starts to get thoughts of himself with the family, as the uncle. The plot is so simple, and well, with what the director was given, he done a great job. Many parts of the film are just “Robin Williams” trying to be notcied by the mother he is crazy obsessed with. Alot of the scene’s dialogue fits perfect with what “Williams’ can do.
The plot was very simple, and very disturbing. What is most disturbing about the plot, is that I couldn’t really figure out why someone would think to write the film. Personal Experience maybe?. Anyway, the plot was very well made into a motion picture, and the chilling premise of the film stands out as key, to make it a good thrillerish film.
The acting, well “Robin Williams” is definately the standout. His performence from being only known to me as the funny guy, to the creppy stalker, is great, and it is so effective. He gives of this vibe, that straight away you would think he is a crazy old man, but still he is so great in this film, that i’d love to see him in more films of this genre.
Overall “One Hour Photo” is a mild thriller that, is yet creepily effective, in making you not look away for one second, in case you miss a vital moment. My rating is 3.5/5
fuck this was boaring and i love williams too.
Hated this movie! so boring and just….pointless! more like a drama but a very boring drama!
tHIS IS A GOOD MOVIE FOR THOSE WHO LIKE ROBBIN WILLIAMS IN A NOT SO FUNNY ROLE.
It was a creepy one for Robbin Williams….liked the story line its a good rental.
awesome movie. probably my favorite robin williams besides jack. he plays sia so good. hes creepy and you know something is up with him, it could have moved a little bit faster but that adds the the creepiness of him and the cinematography was amazing
I was disappointed with this one. I caught it on the big screen opening week. I’m not a fan of Williams, but I thought I’d give this one a shot. I’m sorry I did. What a puke-fest!!!
One of my favorite movies of all times and by far the best movie Robin Williams played in!
Robin Williams puts on an absolutely sensational performance in One Hour Photo! He puts across an interesting character study, creating a tragic but almost lovable character. The film itself is interesting and gripping, creepy and unsettling, you care for the characters and you care for the film. It’s a fantastic film, well directed, well acted, well worth seeing!
not a terrible movie, but not exactly good either. Williams was good. have always liked Romanek’s work. liked the idea of the story, but just not executed well. worth watching though.
Mark Romanek delivers a creepy movie. This movie sure is a little out of date for 2011 because most comaeras are digital and technology has advanced but if you can easily put yourself into a movie’s setting then this will keep you on your toes. Robin Williams delivers a haunting performance. This movie is definitely worth a view. 8/10
I saw this one back in it’s hay day and a little beyond after that and I must say that I really enjoyed it. Very very creepy and for Robin Williams to play such a character really showed what kind of actor he is. You could just feel the build up of creepy and even from the beginning there wasn’t alot of that undertone. Just a guy doing his job developing film and all the weird shit that people do with a camera.
Definetly worth checking out. I recommend it. Good stuff!
To really know this movie you have to see it for yourself. This movie is creepy the whole 91 minute of the movie (which that excluding the credits), it start out small as the film go on it level the creepiness on a high level and it made my heart pumps soo much, it was hard to watch some of the scenes, I said to myself twice through the movie I think I need to turns this off, it was really an intense movie. I didn’t expect the movie to be deeply scary, but it was. You really don’t think something like would happen, but it’s in your mind that it could. One of Robin Williams’s best performances, now he’s a comedian, you think what is he doing in this type of a movie. From his character study and the whole of his body language it absolutely works for the movie and the way he does it is like a whole different Robin Williams, which I really like actors who take a step out of the comfort zone to do something different and get it to work & Robin Williams did it brilliant took that role like he was that person and I was glad to see this movie. The acting was excellent (especially from the lead Robin Williams), the directions were stylish, to the point and made it utterly clear & a strange unique psychological thriller. The Storyline/Plot was interesting and made you think of your life and family in that kind of situation, all together the movie worked excellently it was creepy & thrilling all the way though and just couldnâe(TM)t stop watching, I felt for his character, but also got weirdo out & could slight understand hid obsessed and how Robin Williams how he got his mind to work (Very unset-allying movie). One of the best Thrillers of 2002 & in my top 100 of best Psychological thriller of the decade.
