I think im one of the 2 people who liked this movie and own it.
Unscary, uninteresting, characters who are meaningless with a absurdly silly story.
ok this movie was good to ok.
it was confusing. and i thought it was gonna be alot more original and scary but i thought wrong but still on ok good movie to pass time.
Stupid. The film was so stupid and boring, and combine it makes a shit movie. A lead role, was really bad acted, the plot was stupid, and the ending was really predictable. The film had a really dark feel abut it, which is usually good, but the whole idea of a site knowing everything about you is just plain stupid. What i mean is that how can a site kill you withing 48 hours if it doesn’t tell you what it want’s. Several times during the movie i just wanted to turn the TV off at how boring it was.
The plot was really confusing, but did have some nice visual effects, in what the ghosts looked like. Apart from being confusing they’re were loads of visable plot holes, and the script should’ve really be read over several more times before beiung greenlit.
The acting was average, but one actress Natascha McElhone was appauling. She only used one expression the whole film, and her voice was the same, even when she was supposed to be scared out of her mind.
Overall “Fear Dot Com” is boring, confusing and wasn’t worth the $40,000,000 budget. My rating is 2/5
Shitbuster
Confused and illogical, Feardotcom is an example of a movie made purely to attract an unsuspecting audience. I was lured into watching this movie (thankfully for free on my cousin’s Netflix account) and was horrified by how bad it was. Definitely on of the top five worst horror films i’ve ever seen.
For one thing, the characters were all unrealistic droids with the emotional range of the bad actors who played them. They each have more than their share of stupid moves and illogical thought processes.
The story made absolutely no sense whatsoever. It was a serial killer movie trying to be a ghost story but without any real thought as to how the two could be coherently bonded. The ridiculous backstory is confusing and felt as though even the creators had no real idea what they were doing. More of a “hey we can try (and fail) to make the audience jump here”.
This film went to theaters, which surprises me becuase the majority of straight-to-DVD horrors i’ve seen are better than this film (if you can call it that). It’s a tought call, but i’d say even the Grudge 3 was better than Feardotcom.
*Gasp* yes thats right my fellow humans, i said it!
this movie was… hard to decide if i liked it or hated it. i did not like the sexual aspect of it, just because i;m not into that stuff, but i enjoyed it and i never found myself thinking “is it over yet?” it didn’t make much sense, but most scary movies don’t. i would never buy it or rent it, but if it’s on or laying around, it’s not too bad.
What a waste…
Almost torture to sit through, this film is terrible on all levels.
a tottaly bogus movie. it makes no sense and it has no meaning. the effects weren’t scary and the acting was horrible. It was a total waste. The only good thing about the movie is the creepy atmosphere. that’s about it for Fear Dot Crap
Very Confusing & Pointless?
A waste of a good cast and idea.Avoid like the plague. The film that killed Stephen Dorfs career.
I thought that it was a good storyline, but it wasn’t so good of a result.
