Thomas Jane (HBO’s “Hung,” The Punisher) stars in and makes his directorial debut with this suspenseful horror thriller Dark Country, arriving on DVD October 6 from Sony Home Entertainment. Thomas Jane’s ‘Dark Country 3-D’ Gets Theatrical Run

Finally an update regarding 3-D thriller Dark Country, helmed by and starring Thomas Jane (“The Punisher”). it was announced this evening that while Nu Image has taken foreign rights to the film, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group holds domestic rights and will release the film theatrically through a third party. Watch for an update soon. The pic co-stars Ron Perlman and Lauren German, and concerns newlyweds who find themselves on a hellish stretch of a Nevada highway. “Dark” was produced by Hyde Park’s Patrick Aiello and Ashok Amritraj. Full Cast For Lonsgate’s ‘Punisher: War Zone’

Bloody-Disgusting has been provided with the final cast list for The Punisher: Are Zone. Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok and Julie Benz all star in Lionsgate’s sequel, which shoots through December in Montreal, Canada. The film is being directed by Lexi Alexander off of a script collaborated by Nick Santora, Kurt Sutter, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Continuing his crusade to punish violent criminals in America, former FBI agent Frank Castle arrives in New York to take on a underworld boss who plots to take control of the underworld. Arquette’s ‘The Tripper’ to World Premiere at Screamfest!

This past week I started working with the Screamfest Horror Film Festival (MySpace) in Hollywood, California and today I’ve learned some fantastic news. I was informed this morning that Screamfest will host the WORLD PREMIERE of David Arquette’s directorial debut, The Tripper, which features Jamie King, Thomas Jane, Lukas Haas, Jason Mewes, Balthazar Getty, Paul Reubens, Courteney Cox and of course David. You can get more info on the film over at David’s official MySpace page (tell him B-D sent ya) or read on for the official press release. Tickets are going to go fast, so keep your eyes peeled. The film revolves around a group of friends who escape to a modern-day Woodstock concert for a weekend of debauchery, only to be stalked by a fanatical killer determined to finish what he started years earlier. Lions Gate Unloads Movies for Sony’s PSP

“Lions Gate Entertainment announced it will release a selection of movies that can be played on Sony Corp.’s PSP handheld device, making it the first film company to support the new format that isn’t related to Sony,” according to the Hollywood Rpeorter. “Saw, Open Water and The Punisher, along with such catalog titles as “Total Recall” and “Rambo: First Blood,” will be among an initial 12 movies the company is releasing on Universal Media Discs. “When we first saw the machine and started talking to Sony, we immediately decided it was going to be a winner, both from the gaming perspective and from the perspective of people watching movies on the go,” Lions Gate Entertainment president Steve Beeks said.” (more…) READ MORE
