Good stuff here. Another Jack Ketchum book made into a pretty good movie. Brian Cox gives a great performance.
This is definitely not a horror movie but a good thriller with a little violence. Definitely worth watching just to see justice served.
Well acted overall and certainly credible plot. I was quickly reminded of George C. Scott’s 1972 movie “Rage” due to somewhat parallel circumstances.
An ok indie crime/drama about a man’s dog that gets shot by a troubled teenage boy while the boys friends watched and did nothing, and his fight for justice to bring them down. I thought the performances were pretty decent and the story itself was good and touching, but I thought it was pretty basic and a little slow for my taste. The description and the poster make it seem like a gritty suspense/thriller, believe me it isn’t, it’s more of a drama to me, it comes to show you don’t judge a movie by it’s cover. The thing I liked about this movie was the pleasant ending and the final battle between him and the teenage boys which made me give it a higher rating than 2 stars, other than that it’s pretty standard lifetime movie of the week material to me. I’d say wait to catch this on t.v.!
It was a pretty good revenge film, but it would’ve been better if it didn’t look like a lifetime channel movie.
This is a Jack Ketchum story, which means you are going to be shaken to the very core as he plays your emotions like a violin.
I was enthralled throughout the film, asking myself “What would I do if I were this guy?”.
The story takes some unique twists and turns as you follow this poor old guy trying to find some justice for his trusty hound, Red.
Great film and a must see. Be prepared to cry if you love animals.
If Lucky McKee and Angela Bettis were involved in this like they originally were, I would have liked it.
I loved this movie.
