Tokyo Pop Adaptation ‘Priest 3D’ Gets DVD/Blu-ray Date

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Rated DVD ($30.99), Unrated Blu-ray ($35.99) and Unrated 3D Blu-ray ($45.99) releases of Priest for August 16th. DVD Active reports that extras will include deleted scenes, behind the scenes featurettes, and more. The 3D Blu-ray release will also include a 3D exploration of the vehicles and weapons in the film. Six Character Posters for Screen Gems’ ‘Priest 3D’

After debuting way back in July at the San Diego Comic Con, Sony Screen Gems has finally release six character posters from their 3-D action horror Priest 3D, which stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Madchen Amick, Stephen Moyer, Maggie Q., Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif, and Alan Dale. I give a “hand” to Sony for keeping the creature in the dark. In theaters May 13, the Scott Charles Stewart-directed film is an adaptation of a TokyoPop comic book, and is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire and follows a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Updated with hi-res image! Arriving in theaters May 13, 2011 from Sony Screen Gems is Scott Charles Stewart’s Priest, their TokyoPop adaptation that’s currently being post-converted to 3-D.
