Four Clips From Thomas Jane’s ‘Dark Country’
Thomas Jane (HBO’s “Hung,” The Punisher) stars in and makes his directorial debut with this suspenseful horror thriller Dark Country, arriving on DVD October 6 from Sony Home Entertainment. Beyond the break you can check out four clips and the trailer for the film also starring Lauren German (Hostel: Part II) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy II: The Golden Army). Two honeymooners rescue a mysterious car crash survivor in the Las Vegas desert. But their decision to save the man becomes increasingly regrettable when he turns on them, forcing the newlyweds to do the unthinkable. SDCC ’09: Meat Train Directors Next is ‘Magdalena’
Gale Anne Hurd’s Valhalla Motion Pictures, Platinum Studios and Top Cow Productions have attached Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus, Midnight Meat Train) to direct and Holly Brix (The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations, Mile Zero) to write Magdalena, the latest comic book to film adaptation. Plot details remain under wraps, however what is known is the basic premise of the Top Cow comic of the same name, about the protector of the Catholic Church who is descended from Christ’s bloodline and wields the Spear Of Destiny as her weapon of choice. SPIKE TV’s ‘SCREAM’ 2008 WINNERS
Last night Bloody-Disgusting was on hand at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles for the live taping of Spike TV’s SCREAM 2008, the third annual event that combines horror, sci-fi and comic elements. The show is slated to air on Spike TV this Tuesday, October 21 at 9PM, but if you want to know who won, read on. Some highlights of the event included live performances by The Smashing Pumpkins (performing G.L.O.W.) and Kerli (performing Walking on Air). Universal Pictures has just debuted the first look at “Liz Sherman” (Selma Blair) from Hellboy II: The Golden Army, which can be found on the official production site. The new art is featured in the “Image” section…. and they’ll be rolling out the first look HBII images of Abe Sapien and Hellboy as well in the next two days… check back tomorrow for another exclusive first look.
