‘The Amityville Horror’ Collection and More Coming from Via Vision this September!

Published

on

Via Vision Entertainment, the wonderful Australian-based distribution company that is quickly becoming one of my favorites, has announced their September Blu-ray slate and it’s a good one. The releases get started on September 7th with 7 new releases!

The releases include a number of genre titles such as The Amityville Horror Collection and The Stephen King Collection (Dead ZonePet SemataryChristineSleepwalkers), as well as fun other titles that are a littler harder to pick up on Blu-ray in the US like The Remains of the Day.

I’m including the non-horror titles here because of the fact that some are hard to find titles in the US or simply due to the fact that I like them. The Stephen King set includes The Dead Zone, currently unavailable in the US. The Remains of the Day was released by Twilight Time a while back so it’s very limited and goes for about $50 on Amazon. Suddenly, Last Summer has yet to be released in the US but I believe the rights belong to Twilight Time so when it does receive a release it will be limited. Fail-Safe and Lost Horizon have both yet to receive US releases.

No official word on region coding yet but I’m going to guess these are region free. A lot of Via Vision’s prior releases, which include a number of titles not available in the US like The Seventh Sign, have been region free. Once I’m able to confirm the region coding, I’ll pass that info along.
