Absolutely horrible! What a piece of crap! I bought this because I loved the first and this failed on every level!!!!!!!! Wish I never bought this or Suicide Girls Must Die, maybe I can get a few bucks for them from Newbury Comics and buy something better like Troll 2….YES THEY WERE BOTH THAT BAD!

After 2001 Maniacs was so awesome, I expected something at least half good for the sequel. But it was a complete piece of crap. They should have kept the original actors, I didn’t feel that the news ones did a very good job. Plus the story wasn’t that great either. Will never watch this again, its a complete waste of time.

people are spoiled by cgi. i completely went into this knowing this wasnt gonna have cgi fx have fun take it in for what it is a good time and another homage to hg lewis i give this a 10 for making a movie on a very limited budget lol
Fun! I didn’t like the first at all, so your mileage may vary.
LOL good old classic fun. Nothing more nothing less, lots of tits, gore was the same as the first, laughs were upped a lot. Fun movie. Check it out.

@david_doomsday: I dont know where youre coming from because nobody prefers CGI to make up effects, especially in the horror community. It is a constant complaint every time it is used which unfortunately seems to be the norm these days. Good for this movie for going old school, but it still looks awful.
Tim Sullivan completely turned this movie to shit, I loved the first one, it was filmed well, decent acting, awesome kills, this shitty excuse for a movie was the complete opposite,

I knew exactly what I was getting in to and never took this seriously at all … Tons of fun ! ( It’s not Citizen Kane )
Loved the 1st one, looked forward to this one, but was let down greatly; the oil wrestling scene gives it a half a skull more, – big let down ho!
Not totally abysmal, but pretty bad.
Bill Moseley, Lin Shaye, and Christa Campbell did well in their roles, but the rest of the cast reeks. Poor acting to the point of being annoying.
As for the sound and video, the audio was my main beef. I had to turn my tv up to top volume just to make out the dialogue. The video wasn’t that bad, for the most part-standard digital filming. (Then again, I saw Birdemic only a week ago, and am probably being generous because it’s better than that.)
Definitley not even close to being as good as Tim Sullivan’s awesome first film, but after reading all the negative reviews, I went in with very low expectations, and I came out enjoying it. Just make sure when you go into this one that you don’t expect the same quality as the first, and you just may come out liking it. I really liked the saw blade kill a lot!

I’ve seen many a horror film and this has to be one of the worst. Why would Moseley want to be in this POS!? I thought the first one was very good. It’s really a shame…
Awful. Im sad that Bill Moseley wanted to be apart of this! The “wrecks” were cut off at the “good” parts, the acting was so annoying, awkward and felt amature and was it just me or did everything sound like it was looped? Liked the first 2001 Maniacs but, this one felt like it was trying too hard to bring back the elements of the first one that were good and ended up over doing it and ruining them. I will go as far as saying that i hated it.
Pure garbage, cheesy effects, bad acting, horrible jokes. Skip this.

I went into this expecting utter crap. They finally added it to the Netflix instant so I gave it a shot because the original is one of my favorite horror comedies.
THE POSITIVES
-the kills and the gore was pretty good
-the entire cast, except for Robert, returned which I love.
-some of the one liners and jokes were seriously HYSTERICAL!
THE NEGATIVES
-the acting is just atrocious.
-the plot of the movie is retarded as hell.
-the editing was a bit off and strange.
All in all it’s alright for a one time watch unlike the original which I happen to own and watch at least a few times a year.

Total shit. The first one was a fun flick with a good story and great kills and nudity. “Field of Screams” is one of the worst films I have ever seen.
I have only seen parts of this movie and the first and I think the second one is awful. I never saw the original made in the 1962, I am having a hard time finding it. I try to watch movie online for free so I know that its worth buying.I do this beucause I have wasted money on bad movies.I was born and rised in the south for 23 years and I have to say this movie has some of the worse southern accents I have ever heard. These people talk like they are more in the west then the south. Some of the characters don’t make any since or have any purpose.Scarlet Red looks like she a western saloon girl.I have been told thatChina Rose is there slave they imported in from from an unknown area Why is she joyfully about being there slave.The Chinese were never slaves in America just paid and treated badly. Crow cursed these people so they can get revenege on the north.To start why is he helping them get revenge when these people are ignorant. He helps them hand Black cherry which I don;t get. The behavior is back and forth. Granny trash talks about Buckman wanting to get with Black cherry, but she starts messing around with Crow, she gets pregnant by him.Buckman is shocked by this, but he wanted to with Black cherry earlier.I think Crow and China Rose should have been used diffrently in the story.Bloody-disgusting.com says there is going to be a third movie hopefully it will be better. If it ends with them getting punished for killing all thoses people that would suck becuase they could have ended it with this movie or even the first. If they next one is just more killing of northerner(Yankees) then ends then that would suck too beucuase the story is going to be like another run-on. P.s just so theirs no issue I am black I don’t care if racial topics topics are used. One last thing If could I would not even give this movie half a skull.

Incredibly pathetic and super-stupid lowest-budget sequel
with:
the most awful movie set I’ve ever seen (a field with tents – that’s it!!),
the worst-looking gore I’ve seen in a long time,
the worst acting I’ve seen in a long time
(including an uber-annoying Bill Moseley and a completely underwhelming Lin Shaye)
loads of horrible dialogue and absolutely no plot.
A 1/2 for the so-so opening, a 1/2 point for the tits
