To me Turistas I wouldn’t even consider it a horror movie. It really had no horror movie elements. The one part that really bothers you is the part when the “doctor” is taking the girls internal organs, while she is still alive with no anestisia. But other than that there is no shock value. I would not advise anyone to see it. Unless they are truly bored.
This movie was way better than a lot of people make it out to be. Melissa George was wonderful and so was Josh Dunahmel. Turistas was very well paced and haad a whole lot of suspense. This is not as gory as one woukd make it out to be. This movie also had a feeling of clautostopia just like the descent. The tourists had to go into caves underwater where the water was in over there heads only a couple inches from the roof of the cave was there no water and half the time only one person had a flashlight in the dark cave swimming around while the killer was chasing them. Turistas is a very good though out horror movie and should please anyone who likes suspense.

embarassing. just as bad as Soul Survivors. maybe a little bit better.
NOT HORROR! It’s a thriller and an unsettling one. That poor blonde girl…
a little slow at first, and one of those movies that says its like another (hostel) and isnt really anything like it. the disembowelment scene was fucking brutally awesome.

the acting and writing were both very good but there was a lot of unnecessary scenes and it takes way to long to go anywhere and spends to much time getting back

I thought it was okay. Doesn’t deserve the crap people give it. It had some cool underwater photography, too.

This movie was intresting. It was different, but it was a very enjoyable movie… I thought anyways. I know alot of people didn’t like this movie, but i liked it. Idk, you’ll just have to watch it for yourself.

How is this a bad movie? It had one of the most beautiful environments I’ve ever seen in a film, let alone horror. The gore effects were good, and the underwater sequences were intense and VERY well done. And everything was SO real, which was very nice. I thought it was a great movie, although there wasn’t too much horror about it.
not as good as i would like. I was expecting more of a horror movie and ends up being more of a thriller with a few good horror scenes. This movie does have an amzing gorey scene that definetly had a creepy factor to it.

Very good movie. Great build up, good acting and some great scenes. Wouldn’t mind being in the movie myself just to get close to some of those girls!
I enjoyed this film, I felt like it was trying to be Hostel but I do think that Hostel is a better film. This film was a bit slow to get going and the story wasn’t as original as Hostel but it was OK. I thought that it could’ve been gorier (except one scene really made me cringe!) and the final battle could’ve been more epic. But overall a fun, tense slasher flick that’s worth a watch

This wasn’t bad at all–some suspense, some violence/blood, and plentiful babes in beachwear for about half the movie. Lame movie title, though–that and the cover art (even if it is a partial bikini babe) just look like z-movie bargain bin crap–probably didn’t help sales or rentals very much. One scene in particular had some nice blood n guts to it–very cool. Nothing original here at all, but it is a fairly entertaining thriller for the most part and worth a rental.
