Was actually pleasantly surprised with this movie, I would say I agree with the official review of the movie. Definetly worth a look :)

Pretty mediocre slasher fair here. It feels like one of those direct to video movies that would’ve come out, riding the coat tails of Scream. But that’s not to say it’s bad. Hell, just the fact that it’s British instantly makes it more entertaining.

By the end I expected more of a twist, not that a twist is necessary in this case; it’s just that what actually transpires is boring. The whole time I was hoping for more than just the spirit of some dead bullied kid going around killing off those who lead him to his demise. Let’s face it, the Japanese pretty much have that market covered :P

One thing that really sets this apart though is how insanely vicious the bullies truly are. It’s not your typical name calling and pushing and shoving. These kids are down right fucked up.

Worth a watch, especially if you happen to be visiting 1999.

Finally another movie thats been made for review. I liked this one a lot too. It was very different. It was kind of like the male version of tamara. Expect the dude doesn’t talk or anything. good kills. good laughs, good music. Can’t watch it again though only bad thing.

It was okay. That’s the best I can say about Tormented.
Having already seen April Pearson and Larissa Wilson in British teen-drama, Skins, their acting is sooo much better than shown in this movie. This also goes for Alex Pettyfer who granted I’ve only seen in the ‘Alex Rider’ movie Stormbreaker but he really doesn’t cut it as a ‘cool, mean kid’.
The villian/victim (he was bullied hence the whole revenge thing) isn’t scary at all although I still wouldn’t wanna get on the wrong side of him. Considering his sheer size compared to the other kids, he woulda kicked the shit out of them eventually.
It’s a good, silly slasher movie that is reminiscent of 80′s slasher films but it’s nothing special.

I watched this and actually thought it was pretty good. It reminded me of scream definetly a teen type horror film with some decent kills. The wife even sat down and enjoyed this one. She was actually hoping certain characters died. Once you figure out the story its a little predictable, but still a fun watch.

Theres something rewarding about watching a bunch of duchebag kids get slaughtered because of there own doing. Probably because everyone has been picked on at one point or another. I found everything to be right on with this movie except for the killer seeking revenge for his death. Even with some solid kills, the killer (Mullet)comes off really corny at times in comparison to the well selected cast. That said, Tormented is a quality horror flick that most likely flies well under the radar.

Overall it was fun movie to watch just nothing special. I think the look of Mullet definitely was corny and time and took away from the movie drastically. Part of me was hoping it would turn out to be a macbeth situation since they talked about the play and it would have been a good twist. Fun to watch once but that’s about it

I was extremely dissapointed with this movie: it’s neither funny nor scary. It’s just an array of unspectacular kill scenes where the victims are some unlikeable bullies. There portrayal, however, is so unconvincing and over the top that I didn’t even feel any satisfaction about there demise – only boredom.

“Tormented” really surprised me actually at being a well written and really fun slasher. The screenplay was full of sharp wit and with some really funny moments. Sandra Dickinson’s cameo was particulary amusing! The death scenes were also quite spectacular and memorable! The gillotine death was particulary funny! It also had memorable characters, who you felt deserved what they got, along with some characters you can really warm to like the goths for example (who were also quit hilarious). Overall I found it to be an above average slasher with some suprprisingly tender moments thrown in there too. It never got boring and the interesting plot always kept me attentive. A valient and under rated effort!

Official Score: 3.5 / 5
