One of the best- edge of seat horror- unpredictable throughout, yet with a solid finale that still kept you guessing..right up there with the sixth sense.
Another classic Dark Castle Entertainment movie!! this is one of my favorites! Lots of gore & good scares! Luved the scene where all the people on the dance floor get cut in half at the same time!Classic horror movie!!
Ghost ship….a rip off of Death ship from 1980 same storyline without the Nazis. you can check it out on Wikipedia.haha. Me and my Bro saw the trailer to this film and went…this looks good. Again betrayed by a trailer. Paid for the tickets sat down and the film started…soft cheesy music with pink writing….people around us started whispering “are we in the right film”…all that left my lips was “what the f@#k”?. The mass death scene made me Laugh…different but after that it was utter predictable rubbish…and was part of a collection of films that had the same storylines but set in different locations “Deathwatch” which was slightly better than ghost ship…”The Bunker” the list goes on. It was a waste of time and money.
Ghost Ship is a great Thriller that will keep you guessing right to the end. It has twists and turns and even the gore which only two main scenes had was extremely cool. The concept of a Ocean Liner adrift at sea for over 40 years was fun to watch. It was great to see that even the ship had secrets hidden within it’s dark hallways.
The plot is so original and interesting that it was just great to see how it all panned out. I just love how that a ship has been hidden in that exact spot for over 40 years without human contact. The flashbacks of what happened back in `62 where well placed in that otherwise it wouldn’t make sense if placed anywhere else. The ghosts were so different and what i loved most about them was that the ones the salvagers saw were the ones that knew what was going on before they were brutally killed.
The ship was a masterpiece in itself. She had the elegant but deadly vibe going on and she was really the main role. The rest of the cast were average and they put an effort that was visable but unbelievable to a point where you could tell they were acting.
Overall it’s twists and turns will keep you guessing till the very end. Another great film by “DARK CASTLE ENTERTAINMENT”
My rating is 4/5
‘Ghost Shit’ is a fucking terrible movie. Devoid of any real scares and chalk-full of CGI ghosts and other silly gags. I give it one full skull just for a killer opening sequence.
the opening scene weas great other than that it blew.
the only good thing about this movie is the killl with the wire in the beginning…i was hoping this movie would be good but it was horrible…one of the worst horror movies ever…
not really much good i can say about this movie…it was boring and not very creative at all!
The opening scene is just brillant! The rest of the movie is just lame
The start of this movie was great and the rest of the movie was crap so dont waste ur time with this. Ok just not worth it.
First scene was great, the rest was dull as dishwater.
Not much good, To much bad….Beginning with the cable was nice but that was about it.
looking at most of everyone’s review on this movie, they only find the graphic killer wire scene good whilst the rest just didn’t catch their eye.
me? all of it was great, although every last act of violence and murder was unrealistic. so yeah, you can say that i’m with everyone else on this one. the opening was good, the rest was baaad!
This movie is fun. It’s got a great opening and has some great action sequences. I still don’t understand all the Dark Castle hate The only bad horror films they have made is Return to House on Haunted Hill and the one Everyone seems to love House of Wax. Anyway great movie.
After the first scene, this is incredibly boring.
Starts good, but the rest of the movie is really bad.
Not too bad of a movie but it could have been a lot better. The start of the movie is quite badass I will say.
The ampsmophere is good but it dosent have the scares to match it.
Good start, but the rest of the movie disappoints.
THIS MOVIE SUCKED DICK… LOL I remember me and my friend going to see this. And i was like this movie blew. Awesome opening though. Thats the only reason to see this turd
Fantastic opening sequence, thought provoking ending, it’s all the stuff in between that disappoints.
Not bad…
For all of it’s downfalls I still enjoy watching this movie when I’m ill. (for some reason it’s funner that way.)
Worth wasting some time on.
A Pedestrian outing; despite a cool opening scene the films rather lackluster in the scares and thrills dept. Worth catching on cable if you don’t have anything going on, but don’t waste a rent on it.
I thought it was fun… and easy going… not that horror movies are supposed to be relaxing. Some of the parts left me wondering exactly what the side story was and some of it didn’t work, not to mention the opening scene (the one everyone thinks is amazing) made me laugh because of all the hilarious facial expressions.
All in all I appreciated the mildly entertaining plot, the Mudvayne, and the Karl Urban.
BTWz… sucks to be the singer.
Laughable.
i thought this was a goood movie especially at the first were barb wire went though them slicing them in half
This movie wasn’t so bad so far. I kinda liked it. It has some good moments although various people said that it falls flat because the opening scene was the only thing that made this film good so far but the rest didn’t fit well for the movie. I have to admit I love that opening scene so far. I mean the entire people gets split in half by that barb wire it was a brilliant opening scene and it was the best and the goriest kill in a horror movie so far. Most of the scares look quite good. I remember when this guy name Santos is a spirit and he freaked me out when he was haunting the leader of the salvage crew that was pretty freaky. Now the acting from the casts is good so far Julianna Margulies was good with her performance as the lead protagonist in the film and Desmon Harrington is one creepy spirit so far he was good also with his acting. Overall Ghost Ship is a solid horror flick.
The film wasn’t really that scare had some moments and was not really good on the acting or special effects. The gore and twist in the movie were something that was good, but there wasn’t either to keep your watching a ok storyline.
the opening is the only part I remember that’s really good.
I love this movie! There is not one part throughout the movie where I complained about something.
CommentI disagree!! i am a hardcore horror movie fan and ghost ship is one of my favorite films ever! i agree it was not scary at all but everything else was great! a very good story about deadly sins making decissions friendship secrets and gore! the opening scene with the song senza fine sung by the hooot francesca and the sudden death of the dancing passangers was very good! the effects were really good for a horror movie and of course the flashback scene could not have been better! especially francesca’s death! the melody heard throughout the movie and at the sinking scene was really good! acting was also good and the characters were ok! the atmosfear was the best ive seen(after suspiria) !i dont care that it wasnt scary because the plot made up for it ! definatly an underrated movie! it was something new and fresh! it was also the first horror movie i saw and i was young and ive seen it more than 20 times up to now!
