Rob Zombie’s Big Movie Announcement… Soon.
After a world tour and a new album, shock-rocker turned director Rob Zombie is gearing up to make a huge movie announcement: “Big movie news announcement coming soon. Finally,” the ex-White Zombie singer stated via Twitter. Zombie had recently been attached to direct a redo of The Blob, along with a sequel to The Devil’s Rejects, which is a sequel to his debut film House of 1,000 Corpses. R.I.P. (For Real This Time) Type O Negative’s Peter Steele
Update: official statement has been made. We don’t usually report music news here on the front page, but this one struck me pretty hard as I still listen to Type O Negative’s “October Rust” on a nearly daily basis (14 years and counting). Mistress Juliya of Fuse TV posted on Twitter today the heart sinking message, “Peter Steele passed today,” later adding, “He passed of heart failure today. Just spoke to Kenny [Hickey].” There has been no official statement, although KNAC is claiming to have confirmed at 11:15PM PST. Peter Steele, born Petrus T. UPDATE: Track listing inside. Rob Zombie writes on his official MySpace blog, “Well, I am now holding the finished newly master WZ box set in my hands. Yes, it is done! A long time coming but it is here. I’m not sure what the release day is yet, but it shouldn’t be much longer. I’m pretty you’ll be getting under your Christmas tree. All I can say is boy the early shit is wacked. I haven’t heard some of these songs in over twenty years. I don’t know what the hell we were thinking. Everything is including on this set.
