Really enjoyed it! Very much in the vein of the original, loved the atmosphere, the general look and the feel of it is much darker and some really cool scenes in the movie too. Royce as a distant, selfish character who has to find his human side adds a depth to the movie thats appreciated as well. Look forward to a follow-up and seeing more of the Predators world and civilisation.
A very good film better than i thought it would but of course it couldnt beat the oginial but this is worth watching the whole idea of the new species of predator and the new creatures that live in predators world is great. I look forward to getting this on Blu-ray.
Not a bad film but not a great one either, for predator(Arnold original) it was a great sequel,It did use a lot of character archetypes from the original, but also diversified on them and making them more humans and less the best of the best “ain’t got time to bleed” jerks, You could predict a lot about how the final battle would go right before it happens. It’s not Afraid to show it’s roots but it shows it everywhere from the soundtrack to the character archtypes once again including the duel scene which is made more badass in that the character doesn’t get slaughtered like billy did. Gore Fans this won’t be your cup of tea, compared the original or sequel(or AVP) it’s very light on human gore, predator and animal gore looks a little fake because you’re trying to figure out if the blood leaking out(which is bright green) is CG or practical.
Brody dose a good job as the complete dick at first who dose everything to keep himself and those who follow his rules alive. The leading lady was cool with me,I liked the other charcters a lot including the Yakuza who didn’t say too much because you find out he lost two fingers to his boss for talking too much. The other characters are great in their own way, rather not go into it because some of it is spoilers, Topher Grace who seemes to be out of place, and my intial thought is that he was some type of weapons researcher who makes bio weapons but the truth is kinda meh.
I loved the new predator look(there are the classic and new predator designs in the movie not just one or the other), they’re more bestial looking and bigger and meaner.
A few other things I want to go over is the final battle, it was a good mix of old school predator 1 bran and a brains to create something that feels new while at the same time feels right out of the original because the basic premise is remains the same.
Predators is a good matinee flick and I believe a sequel should be made.
Hmmm.. I think I went into this with too high of expectations. I really liked it, I did, but I felt some of the better characters were taken from us earlier in the film and we’re left with half an annoying cast. The score was top notch and it really caught the vibe and the “epicness” of the original. Gore wasn’t as plentiful as I’d have liked it to be (in the BD review he says there’s not much in the way of CG gore? **SPOILER**Laurence Fishburnes death is entirely CGI**END SPOILER**
But yeah, other than that I really enjoyed it. I think everyone did a fantastic job with the acting, even the cheesier characters.. Just wish we could have got a SERIOUS Predators movie, I wanted to feel real dread throughout instead of some stupid prisoner cracking jokes.
I really liked it and you know what? Im gonna say it; I liked this more then the original Predator. Yeah im crazy, but hey this one was more my style. That being said, its not without its flaws. For starters, the best part of the trailor isnt even in the movie. NOt exactly. and while were on trailors, I didnt get the Machete trailor attached. WTF. Anyways, another thing that probably bothered everyone was Adrien’s voice. Its the same wraspy voice that Christain Bale does in Batman. And its just kinda silly. Another thing thats always bugged me, not just in this movie, but the Predators heads always seen too damn big! i know why, but shit it still bugs me. i want them to be sleeker, more agile but i suppose thats why there a good parring against Aliens. Some other things that bugged me; The sword fight scene was too slow and boring. Rodreiguez shoulda had had Tarantino come in as a guest director like in Sin City, he shoulda came in and done some Kill Bill magic. Oh and the “twist” we’ll i think everyone saw it coming.
Despite all this debbie downing, i really enjoyed the film as you can tell by my first sentence. Its bad ass fun and i just love the concept of the criminals being collected for hunting. Oh and Lawrence Fishburne was awesome as “a crazy Nam vet.” haha he was just good fun. Just like the whole movie.
Great follow-up to the predator series, predators were awesome and they had great new look.If you are fan of the original movie, you should go see this!
Gonna give this one 4 out of 5 skulls. I went into the movie and purposely tried not to compare it to the original (hard to do with the music thoug). The story was pretty cool and I’m glad they didn’t try to get to the specifics of exactly how the people wound up on the planet. The gore factor was average, but a big shout out to the Mortal Kombat death. The acting was good for the most part and the overall effect was a fun little movie that can stand up on its own. I’d recommend it to others.
So I just got back from Predators and I thought it was pretty good but it had the potential to be great so I can’t help but feel some what dissapointed. This sort of sequel to the Predator films sees a group of criminals as they are hunted by the title creatures on a hunting preserve planet. It could have been a really fun idea. And for the most part it is. We see some different types of Predators and predator creatures and there are some cool action sequences but the movie just isn’t a good film. And every moment that you think it will get there and become awesome it just falls short it’s utterly frustrating. So let me address the problems as I see them. Well for starters the way it begins, really guys come on. And than we are introduced to this mildly developed group of characters none of them very memorable with the exception of two who I will get into later. As the film moves along we are introduced to a really cool sequence involving predator dogs followed by an insanely silly sequence involving Laurence Fishburne. And the rest of the film is what it is the actual finale fight sequence between the title monster and Brody is fun and believable but mostly everything leading up to it feels forced and a little stagey making it hard to completely immerse yourself into the film’s world. Technically the screenplay is kinda silly sure what fan boy hasn’t wanted to see a yakuza samurai go up against a predator but live action at least in this film it really doesn’t blend. And there’s lots of silly choices that makes the film flow oddly a sort of hero predator and a character shift are just ridiculous and the believability that these characters would come together and at times completely ignore the situation at hand is too much to take. As for the cinematography it’s pretty generic and not in a bad way but passable highlighted by a sloppy retread score the of the original theme. And now to the direction before i get to the performances I love Nimrod Antal simply because of Kontrol and Vacancy. Those films were so subtle, suspenseful, simplistic and precisely executed. I didn’t see Armored but there is a reason because I just couldn’t picture him as an action director. Not that he does a horrible job but he just doesn’t have the pizazz in this film that he had in the others that made him stand out. And now for the performances most of them are pretty mediocre and standard for this type of film with a stand out horrid one from Fishburne and despite some moments a wonderfully comedic turn from sexy Topher Grace and a weird but solid one from Adrian Brody using his smoky rough mysterious guy voice. And btw did anyone know he had that body my god it was shocking and beautiful thanks adrian. In conclusion it was pretty good and I’d merit a reccomendation simply because when the film works its a lot of fun it could have been gorier, scarier and more intense but what stands is passable enough for an entertaining but forgettable popcorn flick. Also it’s quite obvious that the films creativity levels were limited by budget restraints and although i respect the effort that fire was just awful and kinda laughable. It falls somewhere quality wise in between predator but nowhere near the lameness of predator 2. It’s worth a look.
4 skulls, would have been 5 however, but it was very good and should have been great. started out real good, music was there, but didnt care much for the ending. thought the new main predetor looked stupid, like the monster from the relic. should have just kept all the predators the same, maybe changing one a little.
Shit was good. This shouldve came after the 1987 one. They nailed it this time
2 words….. FUCKING AWESOME
awesome movie, loved it, and the machete trailer that showed before it was AWESOME! lol but yeah, great film, definatly felt like an actual predator movie for once again, great!
Predators was an awesome and legit sequel. It’s the only sequel in fact that captures the same spirit and surprise as the original one starring Arnie. The cast was great, effects, music, pacing, editing, writing, and intrigue was great! Laurence Fishburne had a SMALL but well-acted cameo and Adam Brody and the sole girl gave their best! The Predators themselves were kick ass and back to the top of their beastly violent forms. This is a GREAT comeback for the Predator franchise!! The only thing I noticed could set some off is that the pacing is a little slow, but perhaps that is not a bad thing, it just means the movie is a slow burner until the awesomely climactic ending. Great stuff! Thank you Robert Rodriguez and your filmmaking team! Can’t wait to see the next one
IDK what movie everybody else saw, but the one I saw was boring. And had the most repective action ever. The characters all sucked. It was like watching DEATH RACE but with predators. And it’s a movie about PREDATORS, yet we didn’t get a whole lot of them. The whole time me and my friends were laughing more then anything. It was just a run of the mill lame action film. And we’ve seen it all before. Just watch the first one, and call it a day.
First off this review will be lengthy and somewhat detailed, so get ready for a read if you care to read it in the first place. Secondly I am not at all going to compare this film to the AVP films. I have read so many times that Predators is better than AVP and every time I read it I want to say, yeah no sh-t. I think that saying Predators is better than AVP is sort of like saying being healthy is better than having cancer. How about how does Predators stack up against Predator and Predator 2, well in my opinion it stands tall along side both movies and is an excellent addition to the franchise.
Let me go over some of the complaints I have been hearing about this movie.
1. Predators doesn’t really add anything to the Predator story.
That claim is ridiculous at best. Predators adds a lot. It tells us there are game reserve planets, it shows us that Predators hunt using more than one method as in the Flusher and the Falconer. It tells us that just like us humans Predators don’t all get along and that they war with one another. It tells us that the Predator society IS the hunt and that they adapt by learning from what they hunt. So yes, Predators does add to the Predator story.
2. The Predators died to easily.
Now this again is ridiculous. The Flusher was killed by explosives that Nickolai had taken from Noland’s hide out. Predator has Nickolai impaled and is dangling him in the air and Nikolai sort of laughs and about that time Flusher realizes that the big Russian has pulled the pins on some explosives and thus both go boom. Fact still remains Flusher took out big ole Nickolai with no problem. The Falconer sword fight with Hanzo was first of all really well shot and secondly was done really well also. The two trade blows of blades (someone pointed out that the blade thrusts from the Falconer should have knocked Hanzo down, but first of all sword fighting is all about balance NOT power, and c’mon, then you wouldn’t have had a sword fight and instead would have had just another run of the mill Predator kill,,,,,,you’ve gotta change it up people) until finally Hanzo kills the Predator with a running swipe, but he had to kill HIMSELF in the process to beat Falconer because he knew there was no way he was going to win the fight otherwise.
When it comes to the fight between Black and Classic, I thought it was a really cool fight. First off, Classic wasn’t in his best condition and he really had to muster his strength to do what he did in the fight, but he by NO MEANS went down like a bitch. He really held his own in the fight but in the end was simply over powered by Black. The two traded blows, Classic outsmarted black a couple of times, but in the end he just didn’t have enough to pull it off. And my god, the decapitation of Classic was violent as hell and it was at that point I said to myself “Black does not play around”. The fight was honestly longer than what I had expected it to be.
Which brings me to complaint #3. Royce killed Black was too easily.
This claim makes me seriously question if people payed any attention to this film.
Royce knew he was no match for Black when it came to braun vs. braun, as demonstrated during the latter part of the fight. After learning that the Predators see in infrared Royce uses the mud but ALSO comes up with the idea to stand in front of fires so that when Black tries to see him all he can see is the heat of the fire, thus masking Royce’s visibility to the infrared. So Royce effectively makes Black blind and takes advantage of this by quickly darting around Black and clubbing Black’s mask over and over, further f–king up Black’s vision. However Black pulls a trick out of his sleeve and reveals a NEW mode of Predator vision (yet something else NEW that this film added) which allows Black to track Royce by seeing his heartbeat. Now that Black can see Royce the fight then truly becomes a test of braun against braun and Royce is no match as Black proceeds to knock the snot out of Royce. Just as Black is about to decapitate Royce, Isabell uses her sniper rifle and sends a round into Blacks back and renders him pretty much paralyzed, it really f–ks Black up. At this point Black can’t even walk, much less fight, and Royce doesn’t give him time to activate his self destruct device (as in he didn’t stand there trying to ask him questions like Dutch did in Predator). Royce sorta goes dog shit crazy and mutilates black. So, NO, BLACK DID NOT DIE TOO EASILY and the dynamic of the fight CLEARLY shows this.
As far as Noland goes, that guy was nuts sure, over the top sure, but his character was clearly needed for story. The “enemy of my enemy” idea was SORT OF in the movie, but did not at all play out, in fact I thought it was pretty cool when Royce cuts classic down and the first thing classic does is go for Royce’s head almost as if he was dishonored by this human helping him out and thus having to decide whether to save honor and kill the human or not, Black shows up and cla
Fucking awesome movie, Rodriguez and Antal got this right.
The movie was pretty good, could have used a little more suspense and action. It was a little slow toward the middle, but quickly regained pace. The characters were great, was not as cliche’ as it definitely could have been with the whole “lost in the middle of nowhere and someone/something is picking us off one by one” plot. Also, was it just me or were the “predators” just not as hardcore as they could be or have been in the past. Oh and with a title like “Predators”, I was expecting a lot more predators. Eh, no big deal, the movie was still very entertaining and loads of fun,
I found this movie ok, nothing special and I was disappointed. The trailers make it look so fast paced but it had too much talking and creeping instead of action. And why, why did it have some half assed romance? I’m a woman and I think it was so cheesey and not needed! The acting was good except Brody. I usually like him a lot but he was so over the top I kept expecting him to start giggling after some of his over acted lines. He had this weird “tuff guy” whisper thing that made ME giggle! And this movie took itself way too serious. A little bit of light comedy here and there would have made me enjoy and like the character a lot more. And the ending (eye roll) lame and full of holes. I really wanted to like this movie more:(
Movie was great,highly recommend.Brody was a total bad-ass…..
I just came back from this movie, and I gotta say, they nailed it, I thought it was going to be mediocre, but I was proved wrong! Like alot of reviews are saying the movie has a very similar feel to the first movie it fits right in. I’m not going to give too much info, and i know this movie is showcasing the “super” oredators, but my favorite scene is where the classic predator suits up and gets ready for battle. there have been many incarnations of the predator in movies and comics, but my favorite is still the original winston Predator,he’s still the most hardcore! what I also liked is the new predators are really back to basics, just plasma cannon and wristblades. All in all Rodriguez and co. hit a home run with this and I really hope they do a sequel, the whole waring Predator clans thing opens up alot of possibilities, and with the way the ending is, its a perfect setting for a direct sequel.
Predators kicked ass, and although my mates thought it sucked, I loved it, if you loved the first you will love this and the predators are fucking bad ass.
I thought this movie took forever to get started. When it did, it ended up just being a decent watch. I dint feel a big separation from the other movies, and thats what i was looking for. Cool opening scene. I liked some of the new predators. A great cast, but not enough to take it to the top.

Someone needs to explain to the crew the difference between a homage and a rip off.
Well I’m not really familiar with the original but if it’s anything like this waste of time and to me a failed attempt to revive a series than it’s overrated. To be honest they miscast Adrien Brody as the lead heroine because he is no Arnold Schwarzenegger and even thoungh he got ripped and gave a decent performance he is no bad@ss. This movie was a complete disappointment to me and treated us like dummies, I mean stop spelling everthing out and get to the good stuff we’re not braindead! I thought the creatures were goofy looking and were not scary or menacing enough and the gore and CGI were weak to me and the plot and script were nonsense and idiotic. The movie dragged in some parts believe it or not and I found myself dozing off now and then and I thought to myself is this movie for real, where are all the thrills, chills, scares and entertainment, everything came off pretty generic and syfy channel movie of the week, this is B-movie all the way and not really in a good way either. I am sick of all these lame reboots and remakes because most of them so far suck and are weak efforts and they need to stop unless they’re going to bring their A-game and outdo the original. Overall I don’t really have anything positive to say about this movie other than the somewhat promising beginning…[more]…
pretty good, not as good as the first predator film (no one can fuck with arnold). The only thing i think could have made it better is if it had a little quicker pace to it. at some points it seemed to drag some scenes out a little to long.
One of the first movies I didn’t watch in theaters and come out upset with. I thought they done an excellent job at keeping it as intense as the original.
Over all, I liked it and thought all the performances were solid.
I would go see it again.
Not nearly as good as the first, but not as stunningly awful as the last two, Predators ends up being just decent. Hey, it’s a step in the right direction and for sci-fi B-movie-with-a-budget fun, you could do worse.
Producer Robert Rodriguez had the right idea concerning bringing the marauding space monster franchise back to its basics, but did it really have to be this basic? Writers Alex Litvak and Michael Finch churned out the same screenplay as the original action/sci-fi/horror/camp classic/watchamacallit, with the action taking place in a new setting and anybody reading this could come up with better dialogue. No, I’m no being a smartass. You’ll at least be able to predict the next line of dialogue during 80% of the film’s running time. To wit:
Stans (I think…):
You live here?
(Wait for it…)
Noland:
No, this is my summer home.
See? Easy. Don’t worry, I didn’t really spoil anything. You’ll have two or three dozen more chances to play the game while you’re watching the movie.
Still, Rodriguez loads this thing with a capable cast and with Nimrod Antal, he’s got a director who’s good with talented ensemble casts. Last year’s Armored showed that Antal could wring good dramatic moments out of thin material, and he gets the same chance with Predators. There aren’t any throwaway characters, here. Sure, you know which are going to be alive for the big finish, but everybody gets their moment in the sun. Russian superstar and UFC favorite Oleg Taktarov does great work as Nikolai, both with hit blow-the-bejeezus-outta-everything-in-sight moments and the moments of quieter tension. Louis Ozawa Changchien has a terrific turn as Hanzo, the Yakuza enforcer, who steals almost every scene he’s in without saying a word.
Weirdly, the leads are the ones who come up short, even Adrian Brody. Sure, he got impressively bulked up for the movie, but his grunting, flexing action hero is pretty generic. Generic’s a good word for Alice Braga’s portrayal of Isabelle – I didn’t even realize she was supposed to be Israeli until I researched this puppy on IMDB. They’re capable enough to do the job that’s required, but I really hope for more from the people that are carrying the movie.
Maybe Rodriguez went overboard on bringing things back to basics, but it’s still a rush when everything clicks and Antal conveys the utterly creepy sense of being stalked by something’s that’s well out of your weight class. The Predators are suitably impressive this time around, utterly fearsome with a couple of new tricks that are kinda nifty.
I can’t help wondering, though…. Previous movies have explained the Predators’ hunting habits as a sort of big-game safari, making the whole deal sound like stalking and ripping the spines out of humans are the Predators’ idea of a restful vacation retreat. So are their day-to-day lives vanilla and domestic? Do Predators turn into clock watchers once 4:30 rolls around, longing for the moment when they can leave their crappy accountant or mortgage broker jobs behind and go home to their sweethearts and kids? Do they look forward to their slaughterama vacation paradise for months, just itching to put that battle armor on and spend most of the day invisible again?
Brad Predator:
Well, it’s vacation time with the guys again, snugglemuffin.
Mitsy Predator:
Oooh, you boys and your guns! Well you have fun and stay safe! MWAH!
We’ll probably never know, but I’d pay to see that movie. Twice.
Anyway, Predators is mindless fun that should’ve aimed higher, but works as lightweight fun that gets the Fox franchise back on the right track. Rodriguez is in good position to spin sequels out of this if it’s profitable, and who knows? Maybe the next one will really kick. For now, this’ll do.
of the greatest reeboots ever, this is a worthy addition to the predator franchise
Im a huge fan of the original film so I was a bit let down by this film. It was a solid movie but I expected more from a Predator film.
Score: 7.5
the film starts off great, no fuckin around they just jump into it and hit the ground running. the characters in this flick are all pretty cool topher is the comic relief and does a great job as such. the whole movie is them stratigizing their attack methods and your right there with them. i really dug lawrence fishburne character even though he wasn’t a major role. with all these postive things to say comes the twist. once the predators become more present on film i loose intrest i don’t know why but it just didn’t do it for me. everything seemed rush like “fuck it they fight something dies moving on”. i know many would probally completely disagree with that statement but all in all a decent addition to the predator series but not the best way to end. overall not an epic fail but a rather forgettable flick
I thought this film was well done. It had the original feel from the first one to it. All the characters were great in it. I think the story could have been a little better, but still it was a really good movie. Can’t wait to get it on dvd.
I’m sorry but anyone who didn’t see this as the most magnificent thing since its original is crazy! Robert Rodriguez did wonders for this franchise and brought it back 100%! If I had not grew up on the original I would have thought it was the best! The perfect summer flick and with a terrible year of movies it just may be the best movie so far!ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!
Truly brilliant film, with great actors, an incredible storyline (with some funny parts thrown in), and awesome effects. However, it wasn’t quite perfect. There were some scenes that dragged, such as when they are all inside the craft. Sure, Fishbourne’s dementia was slightly funny, but his “imaginary friend” was completely unnecessary, at least in my opinion. Other than that, though, it was damn near perfect. I especially loved that in the end, they threw suprise after suprise at you. I love it when I can’t guess what’s going to happen next, it makes the movie that much more fun. So, all in all, fantasic movie.
Score: 9.5/10
Had some refrences and homages to the original. It’s a great reboot/make of the original. Even for someone who has not seen the first, it can be enjoyed. Good twists and together a good remake
I loved this movie. Although I thought the movie dragged on a bit in the beginning. And I didn’t like the song they play at the very end during the ending credits.
Though i have no gripes about this film, it is not the greatest action fillm ever. Its a single viewing at most, this film wont have you going gaga over it, but it also wont have you scheming for your money back.
I thought, for what it’s worth, this film was very fitting, and silver screen worthy. I found it to be a fantastic homage to the orginal, with little details predators fans will relish. Watch this film!
P.S. BTW, i loved the song at the end credits!
Predators was near perfect or perhaps it’s simply that my expectations have dropped so low. Regardless, I wasn’t disapointed, if fact I had a complete blast, it’s almost everything I wanted it to be in a Predator film and a summer movie!
An entertaining but unfortunately pretty disappointing quasi-sequel that can’t hold a candle to its fabulous predecessors. (IMO P1 & P2 are absolutely excellent)
Starts out very thrilling and interesting in the first third, gets too slow and lengthy in the second and in the third third… well, the last third is quite ok but in no way impressing.
The cast is a bit mediocre: some of the performances are just brilliant (Louis Ozawa Changchien, Laurence Fishburne…), some are just lame (Adrien Brody, Alice Braga…).
The Predators look absolutely fantastic, the soundtrack is great and the dialogue is decent with some really funny one-liners.
The effects are ok but there was way too much cheap-looking CGI. The script is too slow-paced and the movie is too reminiscent of Part 1. Not enough tension, not enough suspense.
Overall, an ok movie but sadly nothing special or outstanding. Could have been much better with a more fast-paced script and a better cast.
I will just flat out say this movie is bad ass in nearly every possible way. I’d love to critique it further but, unfortunately, most of my bellyaching includes spoilers.
I will say that most of my complaints stem from poor writing and casting choices. I can’t count how many scenes end with the camera zooming in on someone as they say something utterly cliche.
The one on one fights just feel clumsy in their execution. Poor choreography perhaps? The fight with the Yakuza dude immediately comes to mind.
And WHY Topher Grace (his character, not the actor himself)?! They eventually explain why but it leads to an unnecessary and retarded twist that all culminates into a very very familiar climax.
Oh, ONE SPOILER, why bother with the thermal vision at all if the Predators suddenly have “heart beat” vision? WTF was that shit all about?
I really enjoyed this movie, I swear, gripes are just easier to get off your chest. It is by far the best film to feature Predators since the original was released 23 years ago. And will everyone quit calling it a remake already?! It’s part 3! Effing a.
I thought this movie could have been better. The Yakuza and Predator fight was cheesy and unnecessary. I just don’t understand the Topher Grace plot, it just didn’t make sense. Adrian Brody was excellent. The predators looked great. I wish there had been more fighting between the two species.
ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME! geesh took them long enough to make a good predator sequel. I dont completely understand the ‘twist’ at the end but fuck it, it was a great flick. Very impressed with Adrian Brody he has made a fan out of me. Predators looked amazing and really enjoyed a closer look at their rituals.
Just finished watching it and while I did like it for a modern movie (most these days are nowhere near as gritty and badass as they used to make em in the old days; AVP, need i say more?), it ripped off and copied elements of the first movie a little too much, in my opinion and bordered on giving me the feeling that I was watching a cheesy remake of the 1987 classic at times. I don’t want to spoil it so I am not going to illustrate the parts they ripped off that were basically the same as in the first movie, but lets just say there is a line between paying homage and just ripping shit off and I felt this movie borderline crossed it. Other than that I cannot complain too much. This was an entertaining, fun and at times highly exciting movie. The violence was better than I expected (although not as gory and bloody as the first), and the acting was pretty good for the most part. I’m a Predator fan so I liked it for the most part, overall. Yes, it’s very predictable and not real original, but it has it’s moments and like I said before, for a modern day creature feature/action flick it is a solid effort. Only thing that sucks is that with what they are working with it could have been better. But then again with AVP they had two killer concepts and licensed entities to create a movie with and they came out with a PG13 piece of shit that nearly ruined both sagas for me. ‘Predators’ at least redeems both dogshit AVP films.
The new Predators “Reboot” o what better not say that they want to call it a sequel to the franchise i refuse to believe that , with a summer injected with remakes , spin-offs and sequels , despite the wonderful Toy Story 3. Predators you could say when it started it seemed like a breath of fresh air. This movie starts out so sudden and quick we don’t even know what the hell is going on. All you see is Adrian Brody falling from the sky. Granted it does have an affect on you. Because it comes at you unexpected, and for a min there it works , in a way. But beside that like i said there is no start to this movie really?. We get no greater in-depth look into the lives of this characters , who for the most part we do not even find out there name. But i’m sure they have them. The film keeps you somewhat on the edge of your seat the whole time. But i still think it may not be enough to go see in Theaters.
This film comes from Robert Rodriguez who brought us such films as Spy Kids , and Grindhouse. He is under alot of pressure here if he does not want to piss off the fan base of this movie to much , but likely stated this is not a remake. Well it mine as well be. It feels like a reboot , i did not find anything different from this movie then the previous. (AND do not count Alien Vs. Predator as a movie!) But there are some Blood hound dogs in this movie , that were different , and we get a little bit of an edge on the predators , and who they are & why they hunt and prey on the living , its like a “Game” to them in some purpose they do it mainly for the fun of it.
The tone of this film and the feel of this film does have a nice vibe , i did like it when it first 15-20 mins when the movie was just starting out , it made u jump and interested into this characters. But that is another flaw in this movie, No Character development , I mean yea there are little background into the lives of this people , like we know one is a doctor (with a secret) which really comes as a sudden surprise to me , the fact Topher Grace but thats another part of this review. You do feel sorry for the most part into this characters , you are rooting for them , but chances are things may not turn out the correct way. When all is said and done the film ends on what seems to be a high note , but yet i felt cheated out of my money when i was leaving , with the most anti-climatic song running from the end credits to this Bloody film.
The Story here is simple a group of well trained human beings , who well know what they are doing are set stranded on what seems to be a jungle , but really is another planet. What they don’t know is what is on the planet beside them. They think this is just them , but really there is another species and this is species is not human its called the predator. And every season they capture and conquer Humans and release them into this wild amphibious jungle. For the fun of it , they always come in three , the Infamous Predator Mr. Black who is basically for the most part there leader. The “Flusher” predator who is the one the control the blood-hunger hounds that is an asset to capturing the humans. & The Classic Predator , you see there are two types of predators but i don’t want to go into detail mainly cause i do not want to spoil it.
The acting here was ok it could have been better , i felt that the role of Edwin the doctor (Topher Grace) was under casted at first but then as the movie progressed on , i was really stunned you could see emotions in his face , and he had a good one-liner here and there which got some laughs at the screening i was at. Adrian Brody was also another major asset surprise for the film , he helped the film move along , He plays Royce an American Ex-Solider now turned Mercenary. Which is somewhat cool if you get the chance to think about it. Now together also with the help of the only Female in this movie Isabelle (Alica Braga) who for the female the only one has to hold this movie all on her own which can be pretty difficult , considering in the predecessors there really was never a female protagonist.
The Directing here was decent , now this was a shocked to me when i found this out , that Robert Rodriquez was not gonna be the infamous director behind this movie. i mean really? , but no the guys name is Nimród Antal who directed the likes of Vacancy and the wildly mediocre Armored. Hence maybe why he cast Laurence Fishbourne as another lead cameo appearance. But he has alot of work to do if he wants to keep the franchise going , he really needs to know what he is doing , and after directing Armored which was a flop , and it was stupid , i would not know how this movie will stand above and beyond the rest of the Predator movies , or for the fact other movies this summer. He has alot of pressure under his belt if he wants to keep this perfect which he did not. Another Flaw to this movie.
Now a rather better thing for this movie , which maybe all it had , the stunning yet groundbreaking Visuals , which were pretty neat , the CGI and everything could really hide the authenticity in this movie’s main background , Now you will be shocked to know that not alot of CGI was used for this movie , which i found to be shocking , the sets you are seeing , were real they were not a green screen , at all for the entire shooting day period of this movie , which also surprises me. I do not why. But that is manly what it is that may be making me recommend it for the Visuals which would be sad but the movie does have some modest and redeemable moments throughout the film. But this Visuals is what may make up for the movies Many Many flaws. the Director and Producers , really know how to wonder your eyes i see the weird planet as a messed up version of Alice In Wonderland , but that would be taking things way to far.
In Overall this film , generates some positive moments , and its safe to say , i would not maybe recommend going and spending a ton of cash to see this movie , Tho at times the movie has parts where i was glad i did see it on the big-screen but it was nothing really different if i would have saw it on the small screen , it was fun energetic , and keeps a fast moving pace , it was good , not awesome or anything for the most part , decent , and i’m giving it a mild very Mild See it , more towards the rent it , but as for me a predator fan i was so happy and excited to see the predators up on the big – screen , But as i said it may or may not satisfy the predators fans this summer , but then again with the way this summer is turning out , it more then likely will.

Thanks For Stoppin Buy
Despite it’s cliches, it’s still a very worthy sequel.
Predator and Predator 2 are better. This was one big mess of a plot and too many homages. I could nitpick all day but it’s not bad considerning the crap hollywood usually puts out.
This isn’t as good as the first two movies but it sure as hell erases the pain of the AVP films. I could nitpick at this movie until there is nothing left but I enjoyed for what it is, and that’s an A grade B grade action movie. It’s a bit like Terminator Salvation. If you can look past the plot holes and really lame “twist” there is lots to enjoy here. All of the actors do an above decent job, with the standout being Adrian Brody. His character just doesn’t give a shit and it’s good to see him in this kind of role for a change. My only major problem is that the pacing and flow of the film is all over the place, but the characters keep it interesting. The CGI isn’t as bad as some make it out to be and the Predators look fantastic, especially the Black Predator. This film succeeds in being a pretty good piece of popcorn entertainment and nothing more. Maybe when it’s time to do the sequel the film makers can look at what didn’t work here and learn from their mistakes.
this movie was awsome!!! AV-WHAT? this pisses over that fuck up of AVP-R movie! a bunch of crazy fucks with big guns in the jungle! just what i wanted! fear IS reborn!!!!
Hmm. This or Inception?
Well I’m sure Predators is good. Can’t judge, I haven’t seen it yet.
Not bad – good sequel – imperfect, but enjoyable.
It was an ok film overall. It dragged in the beginning and the plot was super thin. If it wasn’t for the third act pickup, this movie would have been terrible.
What did it for me was the lighting and set design. Definitely recaptured some of the iconic looks from these type of movies in the 80s/90s. Wasn’t so much a fan of the casting: Topher Grace, really? The movie was a little silly, mostly bad ass and overall solid. This is how I would like to see more franchises rebooted.
The telling moment in this movie comes when the end credits roll, to the tune of Little Richard’s “Long Tall Sally”. For those here who remember the original (and judging from all the glowing reviews for this one, I’d say that’s fewer people than I might have suspected), that classic tune accompanies Duke and his team as they descend via helicopter into the jungle for, unbeknownst to them, an encounter with an alien monster. In the chorus of the song, Little Richard sings about having some fun tonight. Unfortunately, this is where PREDATORS falls short – it isn’t much fun. Sure, there are cool bits (most lifted almost verbatim from the original). Sure, Adrien Brody manages, against all odds, to play a reasonably convincing badass. Sure, Laurence Fishburne’s character is batshit crazy. But unlike the 1987 film it follows, PREDATORS just feels like it’s going through the motions most of the time. Despite some clunky attempts at humor with Topher “Why the hell do I keep getting cast in fanboy franchise movies?” Grace, a fair amount of fan service (with references to the original film and two types of predator), and some decent action, it all had a leaden, decidedly thrill-less flavor that could fairly be called the antithesis of what made the original so great. Whereas the inherently ridiculous elements of PREDATOR only enhanced its appeal, too many things bothered me (and thus distracted me) in PREDATORS. The girl is a hardass super-soldier who gets all sensitive at the most inopportune times? The Yakuza enforcer runs around trying like hell to survive for most of the movie, then inexplicably decides to turn and face his superhuman alien adversary with a conveniently left samurai sword… and the Predator (who is a hunter, remember, not a samurai warrior) decides to accept his challenge rather than just blasting him to a cinder? Adrien Brody’s character has been a ruthless bastard the entire film, but suddenly decides to grow a heart, Grinch-style, at the exact moment he can escape the planet? This last part is particularly troubling. I know movie heroes do this all the time, but usually with some sort of foreshadowing and clearcut motive. Brody liked the girl, certainly, but he was more than willing to leave her behind just a couple of minutes earlier, and nothing (no scream for help, no dramatic change in their situation, etc.) happened in the meantime to justify his sudden change of heart. Some will argue that he somehow knew his planned method of escape wouldn’t work out, but how? He had no way of knowing what would happen, yet he chose at the last second to abandon his one chance to get away… after spending the second half of the movie chasing that “one chance” gambit and getting most of his compatriots killed in the process. I can buy redemption in most cases, but here it was as unlikely and illogical as it was wholly predictable. Perhaps I’m “crazy” for not thinking that this disappointing and slow-paced reboot was the most brilliant thing ever committed to celluloid, but there it is. Just okay… and I want more than that from Rodriguez and this property.
Mind blowing? No. The second best ‘Predator’ film made to date. YES. For all its faults, and there are a few to be sure, this film is what it was, built to be. A little taste of what was at the instance of its creation, the perfect action film with a sci-fi element, of the 80′s. And I thank the makers of Predators for giving us a simple story, in a jungle setting… just one more time. Even if it had Topher Grace in it…lol.
average as hell
Good Times Party in Jungle with Predators
Bad-ass. Need I say more?… I don’t feel like saying more.
Highly entertaining movie, with a great human cast! The characters were interesting, and the Predators looked fantastic. The new trio were amazing as huge Predator hulks, and it was cool getting to see a “classic” style predator during the final act as well. The gore was nicely done, yet not overly used…perfect amount.
My only two problems with the story:
1. They said the position of the sun never changes on this planet, yet how can we have night time scenes if the sun’s position remains the same? Lame plot hole.
2. So if Adrian Brody gets to a Predator ship…what then?!? He’s really going to fly it all the way to Earth? Exactly where IS Earth from there? CHEESY!
Other than that, the movie rocked, and it lived up to the hype.
This was a great movie people who rate it bad just are use to seen all CG crap but this was great no cg made it look 1000x realer i admit there should have been more fighting but hey the fighting there was was great. The Yakuza theme is actuallly a homage paying to a predater comic :O called Blood Feud about predators who were around during samurai times ansd came back to fight with a man who’s ancestor was at war with a predator and the predator returns to settle the score. And dont say it was pointless that the predator didnt blast him because predators do belive in honor if you watched 1 or 2 or Avp (not AVP R thats garbage)they show they do and besides it was a awesome fight i wish it was longer well thats my rant BYE ^.@
Entertaining sequel. Didn’t come near the original, but it was cool to see a decent Predator movie in theaters. Well paced, interesting premise, and some cool action.
That being said, there were some really shitty bits. The characters were weak and at times just totally, ridiculously absurd and the action was often derivative of the first movie (just not as fulfilling).
Some of the things they did to the predator mythos itself were somewhat interesting (the hunting preserve, the dog… things), but they introduced some weird hierarchy which basically resigns the predators that we have grown to know and love to an inferior position below a different genus of predator that I didn’t think was quite as cool.
Still, it was a fun ride and it was good to see the predators in action again with a lot of throwbacks to the awesome musical score of the first movie. If you’re a predator fan you should enjoy it, but it ain’t the masterpiece that the original was.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Overall, not as good as Predator, but better than AVP, AVP-R and Predator 2 in my opinion. Brody and Braga did a great job. Decent storyline, great action scenes, decent characters.
Such an “average” movie. Nothing special about it. This is coming from a huge fan of the Predator Universe.
My order (best to worst):
Predator > Predator 2 (WHY do people hate this movie!?) > AVP > Predators > AVP:R
Not what I was expecting from a Predator movie. I’m a hardcore Predator fan but this movie was just alright. I hate to admit it but it just wasn’t that great for me. I have to admit though that it was fun at some points but All in All, Predators was just an ok movie.
Really dumb, but I was entertained enough…I guess.
i really liked it, it was a solid action film that pleased me as a predator fan, i still prefer the original and even part 2 but this one can still stand alongside them.
predators by nimrod from troublemaker studios…. been waiting ages to see this take on the predator franchise…. and i liked it ! straight into the action from the beggining its pretty relentless and faced paed, i like the way the characters have good/bad personalities and are pitted against there doom in seperate ways. also enjoed the way we get to find out about the predators and there world more like the way they fight each other and have a hierachy social sstem a little bit like facists arre’n they dont u think… suppressive violent intimidating stupid bloody fascists!!! cant wait for some lifeorm to wipe those predators out they not even that hard are they like the yakuza fight style class loved it ut i reckon i could kill a predator if i was on crystal meth and armed with a rusty nail…. i wish nimrod had made it more sci – fi instead of actioncould have given the film more depth to the story……. good spaceships and liked the planets surrounding the predators home world…. i want to find out more about predators and what they eat, hobbies, sex and fashion i believe more films could enlighten us to this….i hope there was’nt anything after the credits because i left as soon as the film ended ad all films these days have a fucking secret bit at the end to make you read the credits…… predators are big girly fascists and must die
I thought it was very entertaining. A lot better than the last two movies. I like the direction the series is going in now. Very fun movie.
Well, it was ok. Definitely expected alot more from it,but I always expect to get let down with movies nowadays. They coulda done without that Topher Grace faget, I don’t know why but he annoys the shit out of me. Overall a good movie, way better than the AVPs. But they will never top the first one.
A throw back to the first predator film with a classic robert rodriquez’s spin. I like RR alot always have and i happen to love the fact that he is easy to access if you have a great idea and live in Texas. Going back to predators … Great concept based closer on the comics, interesting story. Very campy but fun. A lot of puns and one liners… def. worth watching if your a fan of the series…
sooooooo disappointeeeeeeeeed.no action,no great kills,no suspense,just some cools predators,that`s all.
With all the hype for this movie and the comparison with the original I was going into the movie with high hopes and I was utterly disappointed by what I saw. The fight scenes (very few) were decent but that was it. It was mentioned in the movie that there are 2 different types of races of Predators that are fueding…and then they don’t touch on it at all. Would also like to know how they were abducted from earth and brought to their planet. There are so many unanswered questions about that movie. And what was with Eric Forman character? Why that weird episode in that pit out of nowhere. All I can say about this movie is that I really wish I got my money back for this and that there is no comparrison with ANY of the other Predator series. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is because I LOVE the Predator series and this movie was a huge let down for me
Topher Grace (yes, the dude from “that 70′s show) is running through the jungle at full speed screaming “shoot him already!” to his cohorts while an angry predator alien chases him down. Just in the nick of time a gunshot is heard and the predator drops. Once all the mercenaries gather around the body and topher grace chews them out for using him as bait, the sniper who took him out looks at her bullet lodged in a tree and ominously states “look, I didn’t hit him…I missed.” They all look down and realize they are inches away from the enemy now and completely vulnerable. This is but one of many “holy shit” moments that come at you in quick succession in PREDATORS, a pseudo sequel to the 87′ Schwarzenegger classic which also and wisely ignores the entire god awful predator vs. aliens films.
Another great “holy shit” moment: The opening credits. After the 20′Th century fox logo, smash cut to Adrian broody waking up while he’s free falling with a parachute strapped to his back. As he struggles to find the rip cord, the clouds he’s falling through clear to reveal a dense jungle. He pulls his cord seconds before hitting the top layer, crashing through foliage and branches until slamming onto the ground. PREDATORS slaps across the screen for a few seconds, and its back to the film.
Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antel (what an unfortunate name, but he made VACANCY, so I’ll give him a break) have crafted a near perfect summer adult entertainment. The plot is simple and to the point. There is no attempt to re invent the wheel here. They take the first film and build off its mythology, but never is there a sit down exposition scene. The characters are in the dark as to why they landed on this strange planet, and therefore so is the audience. What works is they have cast each person with a well known character actor. Yes, they are all fodder and you can see a mile away which ones will make it and which ones won’t, but its fun to see these guys cram as much character development into their brief scenes as they can.
Speaking of getting killed off, holey shit! I won’t spoil too much as most, if not all the fun in watching this sucker is to see all the inventive and violent and GORY AS HELL ways everyone gets picked off. One highlight I will share is this: someone gets their spine ripped out of their backs from the base all the way up to the skull…..while they are still alive! And that’s not even the coolest one.
It’s fast as lightening, full of fun and interesting characters, and doesn’t get bogged down with useless exposition. For some reason this summer at the movies has been an epic failure (remember IRON MAN 2? Yea, neither does anyone else) But thankfully PREDATORS has stepped up to the plate and delivers on all fronts. I can’t recommend this enough if you’re an action or horror fan.
* Side note. Adrian Brody is JACKED in this film. As in……holy shit is that a 10 pack?!?!?!?!! Wasn’t he a skinny wiry little fellow in his last movie? Homeboy been hittin the GYM!!!!!!!!!
“Predators” plays it little too safe. The framework for this film is great: The best killers in the universe are dropped via parachute to jungle environs. They soon find out they are on a jungle PLANET! The Predators drop in for “hunting season” to pick ‘em off one by one.
Our heroes for this film are from Earth, but they find remains of some very exotic creatures that have already been hunted down.
“Predators” could have been so much more than what it is. It kills off interesting characters before we really get to know them. It could have been much more violent and bloody. There’s is no tension like the first movie; “Predators” had me bored at several points.
Cool scene: A Predator grabs a dude by the tailbone and rips out his spine with his skull attached. He then holds it up as a kind of trophy.
Great premise, bad execution.
Decent, could have been better. Too many unanswered questions in the movie.
I did like how they used the original music in this movie. I love that theme!
But we’re really here to see the Predators, right? Well, ostensibly, that’s why they made the sequel, but they prove to be the least interesting aspect of the film. They tried to “flesh them out” a bit, but they almost seem like a distraction from the real story. The story of the humans. Weird, huh?

This movie starts with an interesting setting — and then? Stereotype characters (even for an action flick), shitty dialoges, (comic-originating?) crap about two Predator races (deviding the Preds in Classic/Good and Bad/Ugly).
Just try this on for size: Is there any scene that left you speechless like the “minigun-mows-forest” scene from the original movie? Is there any scene in which a Predator really kicks arses like in the “refrigerated warehouse” scene from part II? Can’t find any? Well, me neither…
meh, far better than the avp series by far, but still fell a td short. just decent.
To me this was the condemned meets predator. Instead of 8 or so criminals trying to kill each other they had to try to survive against predators. I don’t know I didn’t dislike it but there was just something that didn’t click for me. The action was very good and it got pretty damn good towards the end but I think getting there with this group of characters was what made the first hour or so kind of a downer. There were little nods to the original that were great so thats a plus. I’m not sure what I was expecting but in the end I was slightly disappointed.
Predators marks a true return to that which makes the entire premise of the Predator universe work. It is about the predators, hunting men and of the trials and tribulations that go with it.
After two very disappointing Aliens vs. Predator movies, Nimrod Antal and producer friend Robert Rodriguez have mostly stripped down the basic story into a smaller, more focused film that manages to capture everything a fan expects to see when the Predators begin their hunt.
The majority of the film takes place in a jungle on a remote planet. The jungle setting evoke memories and images of the first film, clearly an intentional choice by the writers here. There are even numerous nods to the original film and a direct retelling of the events that took place in it.
The acting performances are suitable, but the characters have been written so one dimensionally, that you never really invest any emotion in them. Normally this would be considered a negative, but in this case it helps keep the film rolling, without burdening with useless filler. We, the audience, know that most of the characters will be killed and we don’t care who they were before this story began.
In this movie there are actually 4 predators, mostly armed with the usual weaponry, the optical cloaking, the thermal vision and the shoulder cannon. While there are a few new additions to the arsenal, it is mostly what we are used to seeing and therefore expecting to see.
I cannot express enough how refreshing it was to see the Predators back in an excited, action packed movie that only tries to be that. No subtext, no witty commentary, just a movie about trained killers being hunted by even better killers.
This movie is a definite purchase and the inclusion of a digital copy on the blue ray version is always welcome.
very good hope to see a remake of alien turn out as good as this
Liked this alot. A great return to the style of the original.A little predictable but still a solid addition to the Predator franchise.Good cast, cool story, bloody gore, and Predator’s doing what they do best.
fucking horrible!!!!! wow this movies plot was non existent! horrible cgi and not what i expected!
I’d almost thought I’d never enjoy a Predator movie again. Though it had many many flaws, it was still enjoyable. The original Predator is just one of those movies that it is so F’in good any other variation will pale in comparison.
As someone who el-oh-vee-ees the original movie (one of my top favs) and feels that NO ONE is a substitute for Ahh-nold, I really like Predators.
This was a very decent sequel to the original 1987 film. It reminded me a lot of a story called ‘The Most Dangerous Game’ but it’s on the planet of the Predators. Soldiers, drug dealers, a convict, and a doctor are all brought to another planet and are being hunted down by the Predators. They don’t trust each other at first, but they soon must work together to survive. The Predators have a new look, and they’re tougher and badder than ever. Not only must they deal with the Predators, they must deal with booby-traps, dog-like alien creatures, and a deranged Soldier named Noland. If you love action and suspense, you’ll love PREDATORS!!!
Wow I am very surprised to see the high reviews this movie has been given. I honestly thought it was fucking terrible. Right when I saw that Troublemaker Studios was involved with the production of the film I knew I had wasted my money. The script was extremely unrealistic and cheesy. The predators did look cool, but the acting and dialogue really ruined it. I still remember the last line of the movie (and no, this is not a good thing). Adrian Brody’s character and Isabelle stumble upon new victims that have landed upon the planet and Brody’s character exclaims “Now, let’s get off this fucking planet.” Aggghhhhh!! Terrible just fucking terrible and that’s all I have to say.
The movie was alright for a one time watch. The only complaints for me is the film wasn’t nearly as creative as it could have been. I mean you make a movie about an entirely different planet with the predators and it comes out looking just like earth but for an odd creature and a few planets in the skyline? Come on man, they could’ve done so much with it.
This film is pretty good. Moved along at a good pace and has a great cast. Nothing really too much I would complain about, give this one a watch.
Raucous, Gory Fun. A bit talky at times but nothing that kills the good time to be had!
A group of people are dropped into a planet as a part of a game. Kill or be killed. There’s a small snag though, the other team are an alien race with advanced technology and a vagina mouth.
There was no chance that this film was going to be better, or even match the original. I did have my hopes for it to be better than the 2nd outing, and all the alien vs predator garbage that came after that. So in the end, I got what I wanted. Yet the film manages to fall short of it’s own expectations.
Adrian Brody did try his best to be an Arnold fill in, sorry to say it didn’t work. He tried to be tough by getting a deeper voice and getting the chance to rip off his top and show off his oh so sexy abs. Taking a page out of the original, which this film mentions, Brody runs around covered in mud and does what he can to try and be a bad ass.
The premise of the film is better than the final product. We have Predators, which we know are bad ass, then we have a team of highly trained and skillful people dropped on this planet. Each have their own specialty. So, that was cool in itself. Yet every death scene lacked spark, originality and the coolness that it should have had. The most interesting part of the film to me was equally the silliest. When a Predator and a Yakuzza member, have a so called “sword” fight.
For me the film fell apart with the introduction of Lawrence Fishburn. From then on, it was all downhill. I particularly didn’t like how some characters suddenly changed at the end and out of nowhere a new subplot pops up. It was distracting and not true to the rest of the film. A predictable and poor ending hurt the film even more. Rodriguez should have directed instead of producing and maybe we could have had a more interesting film on our hands.
I liked this – I felt it was a real return to what the original Predator film was about!
I wasn’t keen on Adrian Brody as a “Tough guy” but I did like the line at the end; “No, I’m not. But I’m fast.” Loved it! I also like how he used him at the end!
I liked how utterly sadistic the bigger Predators were. And the look of them – brilliant!
Blatantly left open for a sequel and I wouldn’t mind seeing one.
I must admit that this remake is good, but only that, it seems that they realized they were killing the Predator franchise and decided to return to the sources, however it is very similar to the first.
While there are good actors all the characters are very obvious with all the classic stereotypes of roles that may be in a film like this, did not take any risk in this film, so go down in history as a correct film and nothing else.
This is something that should be rented, and not watched. While not without its moments, there’s no new ideas, no real surprises, nothing to make it stand out. Besides that, there are parts that had me struggling not to nod off. I really wish they’d leave the Predator franchise alone. Hasn’t it been through enough?
I was so let down by this movie. I was expecting to see more of the original predator and not the new ones. Also the story line kind of sucked and wasn’t really original; it was like Saw but in a jungle. I think they should have left Predator alone and not make another movie.
FUCKING BAD ASS!!!
I’d never describe myself as a huge fan of the Predator series, but can enjoy them for what they are. It was enjoyable to see a somewhat non-traditional hero with Adrien Brody and the effects were pretty good, but I just didn’t care about anything that happened to anyone. Maybe if Robert Rodriguez had directed the first Aliens vs. Preadtor movie instead of this I would have been more excited on the franchise, but there’s no use crying over spilled alien blood. Badassery at its finest!!! Awesome aliens! And to see Adrien Brody play such a badass was almost as much of a pleasant surprise to see Liam Neeson’s performance in Taken.
Just an awesome movie. Way to pay homage to the Predator series!
Pretty solid sequel.
entertaining, definatly better than predator 2 and the crappy avp movies, liked it alot, well made, interesting characters, suspensful
If CGI’d deaths and corny jokes equate to a serviceable time, you’ll have a blast here. Me? I personally like my movies with a little more pizzazz. This wasn’t too bad however. The movie’s got its fans in the right setting, but I feel as if there’s a solid director’s cut lying around somewhere.
I’m going to stick to my original review:
I was so let down by this movie. I was expecting to see more of the original predator and not the new ones. Also the storyline kind of sucked and wasn’t really original; it was like Saw but in a jungle. I think they should have left Predator alone and not make another movie
How was it anything like Saw? …at all? Are you sure you watched the right movie?
