I understand that for its day it was probably a terrifying piece of cinema that shaped the way horror films were made forever, but it just didn’t rock my boat. It was OK and that’s all it was. The demon attacks were beautifully naff, adding a bit of comedy. The seance was just hilarious, but throughout it just seemed to be repeating itself. “I’m a doctor, I don’t believe in witchcraft and such.” That’s all it was about, which was frustrating because we know that in the end he’s going to believe all this demon tosh and what’s equally frustrating is the way the screenplay just seems to be repeating itself to fill up the hour and a half slot. Sorry “Night Of The Demon” you may have been a stunner in your day but so was Britt Eckland
