Loved it. Hope they do more!
Surprisingly good and really entertaining!
Feldman really delivers a fun performance and I love the way they mentioned the loss of Corey Haim (all I will say is “Batman, Nr.14″).
Surprisingly well shot and directed for a Direct-to-Dvd-Sequel!
Definitely better than “The Tribe” and world better than the lame “Hellraiser”-Direct-to-Dvd-Sequels (Parts 6-8).
Really enjoyed this movie. Fast paced, fun, stylish, and with a great fun Corey Feldman performance holding it all together. Also Casey B. Dolan doing a great job as the cute comic store worker love interest.
Fun, one-liners, Feldman, vampires, 81 minutes of your time. The formula worked quite well for me, bring on the holy slaughter!
This movie, though flawed & hardly ground-breaking as a sequel, is surprisingly entertaining and enjoyable! Perhaps it was the nostalgia of seeing the Frog Brothers back together again, or geeking out over numerous references to the original, but one thing is for certain: the film-makers set-out to give the fans what they wanted so badly in the first sequel; a throw-back that was made genuinely for the fans.. Even though this film had many things to nit-pick at, I feel they successfully created something fans could appreciate significantly more than The Tribe.
wow just wow after watching the tribe i lost all hope for any possible sequel but great job all around. Must see for feldman fans or lost boy fans. also ending was great
I was surprised how much I liked this movie, the previews made me think the vampires would be hella cheesy but I think everything was pulled off pretty well
A lot better than the last sequel, but it still had it’s faults. I don’t understand the vampire makeup. It just wasn’t scary or anything.. it was more sexy than scary and that was my only disappointment. Other than that it was full of action and sword fighting and pretty much a worthy sequel if not for the lack of scary makeup
Better than the last one, but I’m still having a hard time wanting to enjoy 20 years to late sequels. If this was still the late 80′s i’d be all for them.
I was actually pretty pleased with this film. The second film sort of left me with a weird taste in my mouth, b/c I didn’t really know what to think of it. But this film…different story. Really liked this film a lot and thought it was well done.
A by the numbers but enjoyable Vamp flick that has its tongue firmly planted in cheek for the entirety of it’s running time. The characters are likable, especially the two leads; who share a nice chemistry. LB:T is nothing you haven’t seen before but it pulls it off admirably. Worth a rent.
Why in this world would a mother name her child Taint? Taint Phoenix. Just kidding. An okay time-waster if you have a small place in your heart for the original Lost Boys, and the Frog brothers.
R.I.P. Corey Haim.
Most fans praise “The Thirst” as a great sequel and a step into the right direction – me not. IMO it’s way more disappointing than “The Tribe”.
Don’t get me wrong: it’s not a bad movie but for the greater part it left me just cold.
What’s good:
Corey Feldman is again absolutely fabulous (“It turns holy water into slaughter.”). The industrial soundtrack is very powerful, there are loads of hilarious anti-vampire weapons, the gore is cool and, in terms of entertainment, the first half hour is just stunning.
What’s bad:
After the first half hour, it gets way too tedious and boring. There is just not enough vampire action, most of the characters are simply annoying, the script is far too predictable and the ending is a huge (and implausible) disappointment.
Furthermore, the whole rave-party-thing is about as lame as in movies like “House Of The Dead” or “Return Of The Living Dead 5″.
An ok sequel – not more, not less.
