A sad film..in a bad way. I like comedy and I love zombie films. SHaun of the Dead, Zombieland, The Evil Dead(though some don’t consider it a zombie film.), Dance of the Dead, Night of the Creeps, REturn of the Living Dead are all great examples of comedy and zombie films working. This is a horrible example. Bad acting, some ok writing and crappy zombies. I wanted to like it but it just does not deliever or either end.
This was one of the worst zombie movies I have ever laid living eyes on. Though not the paramount disaster of other predecessors like Automation Transfusion or the newly made Return of the Living Dead-I get the feeling that the director was after that kind of low-budget aspect but I’m sorry-is this supposed to pass as a cheesy b-movie that we’ve all come to love? I don’t think so. The only joy I had was watching the gay couple-and I’m thankful they weren’t picked on and killed in a gruesome way except maybe death by stereotypes. Trust me on this one though folks-this one worth passing on.
Fun tongue-in-cheek satire that’s as much enjoyable as it is disposable.
The acting is pretty horrible, but the Iranian chick kicks ass.
Mucho gore too.
I liked it.
i honestly really and truly tried to like this movie. I think i gave it every benefit of the doubt. storyline just didnt go anywhere, there was really nothing funny about it. just didnt work for me I wish i didnt buy this piece of crap = [
I dont really know where to begin, but i would first assume that if a movie was in a horrorfest it would atleast be scary. I am getting really sick of people making horror movies with comedy in them. comedy has no business at all being in a horror movie unless it supposed to be funny, like zombieland or shaun of the dead. it just takes focus off the horror and ruins them. halloween(remake), friday the 13th(remake)and cabin fever are just a few that were almost ruined by comedy. i dont know if anyone else has noticed this and cares, but its really pissing me off.
actually not too bad. I mean the acting is pretty bad but the humor was good as well as the gore. More than i expected! Check it out, but dont expect much!
Unbelievably stupid zomedy that desperately tries to be funny but totally fails. Some ok jokes and a nice score – everything else was just annoying, from the ridiculous characters to the completely fake-looking gore/zombie-effects. Just skip that shit.
I was waiting for this one and I wish I was still waiting ‘cuz it was lame. I love Zombies and give every Zombie movie an extra curve but man this was boring. A couple good gore parts (Spoiler- Mom Zombie was awesome) don’t make a good movie to watch. This had maybe 1/8 the power that Dead and Breakfast brought to the screen. Sigh, I so wanted this to be good!! I love a Zombie film with a message but if you aren’t as good as Romero don’t try it! It came out sad and odd in places. Oh well, on to the next Zombies…
it is not a bad…the writers tried to make it a comedy first and they did, but the only problem with that is the lack of any good zombie action throughout the film…very enjoyable but in the end i found it to be lacking
I was only able to watch maybe half an hour of this thing. I think it was half an hour. Felt like a lot longer than that, slow as the plot and characters were attempting to develop. The zombie action just sorta started happening, but by then I was so bored and annoyed, had to switch to something else.
Even though I’d sworn off After Dark films, I SO wanted this to be at least watchable because I’d heard the lead male was a gay guy. A refreshing change, but the overall story was so weak (and his boyfriend’s acting so bad) that I was horribly disappointed.
Oh, and apparently this was supposed to be somewhat of a comedy. I somewhat missed that part.
I couldn’t even watch this movie through to the end. Horrible acting, lame zombie action and cringe worthy dialogue.
Made another profile because I had to add this: I tried watching it again, but couldn’t take it sometime after the girl got tortured and before the gay guys got tortured. This movie’s too mean-spirited for me, and the Iranian girl was the only likable character.
I couldn’t disagree more with the BD review — there was nothing charming, funny, or socially commentative about this movie (except at showing just how fucked up we are, and plenty of other stories do a much better job of that). They attempted to recreate the diverse group of survivors in the midst of the outbreak, and it flopped. Bad. And not just because the storytelling was clumsy, but because the characters were down right stupid. How many times can you see a zombie and not realize something’s wrong with them?
Two failed attempts to watch this thing. I say skip it altogether. Total straight-to-video release.
It was clever and funny. New twist on a beaten genre. I love zombies though.
The acting sucked and the gore looked stupid as hell but who cares this shit was pretty fucking funny!
Just like the title suggests, this is a zombie movie/satire heavy in Americanisms. It’s corny, mostly unfunny and a bit too cute. There is a bunch of gore, but it is hard to enjoy, because the social commentary is so relentless.
I bought this one first out of the all 8 films to die for and I was pretty disappointed. This one is boring and wasn’t very entertaining.
If you’re planning on watching this “movie”… please do yourself a favor and skip it.
The acting in this was horrible, but the gays were okay. There were a FEW funny parts in this, but for a movie trying to be funny, it fails. The gore was eh.
2.9 out of 10
Entertaining.
