It’s inept on several levels. The lead (Steven) is awful. The family dynamics don’t work. It looks like it cost about two nickels. There isn’t so much an ending as just a petering out.

Nu-Pinhead has to be seen to be believed.

I haven’t seen this yet, but to put a 2 week shoot limit on a film and a budget around $300,000 in this day and age is rediculous and insulting! I’m with Mr.D on this one…..DICKS!!!!!!!!

The pic of Pinhead is enough to know that this will blow. But seeing who directed it and wrote it, would think it would have been a little better than what I read on the BD review. With that said, it is sad to say that will eventually watch it, because I am a sucker for this kind of shit.

I never saw this film and I knew it was going to suck. The reviews say it all… The original Hellriaser will be the only good one and maybe the rumored remake by Clive Barker.

Not nearly as bad as others are saying. Really strange how much people are bashing this. Seems like a case where someone says it’s horrible, then everyone jumps on board. By far the best sequel in a long time. See it before you judge it.

Are You kidding me…give me money to make a movie and I can easily do better…this is, as Clive said, an abortion of his creation. If you have studied film or just can’t stand loopholes or bad story telling…well..here it is. bad acting, bad story telling, bad directing, and bad editing. might have made a fair 2 page short story, thats it…If you have to see them all only or are into self abuse have at it…

The worst thing about this movie wasn’t even the fact that Doug Bradley wasn’t pinhead. It was everything else. The acting makes you want to stick something sharp into your own eye and the story makes you want to put out the other one. This is at best, a watered down version of the worst Hellraiser movie (In my opinion, Deader). I will say though, I was impressed with the makeup/effects for the film. If anything they get a good grade for that. The second best part of this movie was the fact that it was only 75 mins. Thanks for making me appreciate the previous Hellraiser installments a little bit more by bringing in Revelations.

Greatly exceeded my expectations. I was never big on the Hellraiser films, maybe that’s why I liked this one so much. Revelations was a fun, bloody and full of surprises, not a bad way to kill an hour and some odd minutes at all.

this movie had bad acting and no Doug Bradly, but the story line was good(its the closet thing to a hellraiser story in about 15 years)but given it had to be shot and edited in 2 weeks shows that victor Garcia can save any movie from being shit, i do think Doug should have been in it (he cant say it was because of the script he did say yes to 6, 7 and 8) i like this movie its not the best but it is better than the last 3 sequels, with more time and a better budget it would have rocked.

Horrible, at least it’s more of a hellraiser movie than 5-8.

Ok…so this one was a pile, but not a steaming pile like hellworld. Bad acting. New pinhead was a joke.

Hellraiser Revelations fails to live up to its successful routine. While Part 4-8 were incredible sequels this one almost failed miserably after the success of Hellraiser 4-8. When I first heard that there’s a new sequel in works I was really excited and I was interested with the plot of this film and when I saw the trailer already I was really interested with it. But guess what boy I was wrong with this movie. I thought the movie was gonna be good like the previous sequels but it wasn’t as good as the previous sequels. The movie has an interesting plot which makes the film look good but the film has many faults and problems from start to finish. The reason why this film was made because Dimension films is about to lose their rights to the franchise that’s why they wanted to come up with another sequel that’s amazing and super quick and I felt bad that Dimension films ended up making a bad Hellraiser sequel that’s why this film has lots of faults and problems from start to finish so far. The problems with Hellraiser Revelations is that the film has a lot of minor pacing issues from start to finish and not only minor pacing issues are the problems in the film the other problems with the film is mainly the film is lacking of story towards the entire film from the beginning until the ending and the other problem as well with this movie is that the film has a lot of decent and terrible acting at the same time all of the acting wasn’t good so far even the new Pinhead wasn’t as good as Doug Bradley who played Pinhead from the first eight Hellraiser films this film really didn’t do good so far. The film was mainly shot in a cheap and quick way so far. Since those are the first problems with Hellraiser Revelations the second problem is mainly the film has a lot of questions that were never answered until the ending of the movie. There were lots of unanswered questions in the film as well and these include about how the puzzle box went to Mexico after the police find it in a hotel in the last Hellraiser film and the other question is how did the old guy get the puzzle box and how does he know anything about the cenobites if he hasn’t opened the box yet those are also the main problems of Hellraiser Revelations. The other problem with the film is that the movie used some horrid CGI effects and one scene in the film use the horrid CGI effect and that is the scene when Nico is opening the puzzle box and blue CG light appears in the box that’s the main problem of the film as well. Now the good thing about the film is that the movie has lots of fantastic special and amazing incredible practical effects from start to finish all of the effects are special and practical so far. All of the kills in this movie are super graphic and this is one of the reasons on why I also want to watch this movie all the kills here were really graphic but not gory because this film just used lots of graphic violence instead of gore although I admit that Hellraiser Bloodline is the goriest because that movie was super gory from start to finish while I admit that Hellraiser Revelations is the most graphic Hellraiser film in the franchise because in this movie you get to see people’s skins getting ripped apart violently and faces getting sliced in a graphic way and all of those kills are really graphic so far plus I almost forgot you’ll get to see people’s skins getting sliced off with a knife and I did enjoy the kills in this movie so far. The other great thing about Hellraiser Revelations is that the movie borrowed a lot of elements from the original Hellraiser and that is the plot of the film because in the film there’s a scene where Nico mainly comes back to life and he tells Steven that he should kill a couple of people for him so that he can regain his flesh until in the last part of the film there’s a twist that reveals that Nico is wearing Steven’s skin just like in the original Hellraiser because in the original Hellraiser Frank tells Julia that she should lure some people into the house so that Frank can kill them and regain his flesh until he later on wears Larry’s skin this film did the same technique as the original and that’s the element they borrowed from the first Hellraiser so far. Director Victor Garcia at least tried his best to make this film and he mainly did a better with his directing on Mirrors 2 than in this film because this movie almost failed miserably so I would say that at least Victor Garcia tried his best in directing this movie so far. Hellraiser Revelations isn’t the best in the series but it is better than Hellraiser 2 and 3 because those two Hellraiser sequels didn’t have any suspense and tension when I watched those two Hellraiser sequels but at least this movie has some suspense and tension towards a couple of scenes but lacking of humor so far. Overall Hellraiser Revelations gets a 6/10

Terrible in everyway, you read the reviews and still watch it anyway because its pinhead, but its pointless, goofy, and did i say pointless?

Official Score: 1.5 / 5
