Those looking for an Exorcist caliber offering from Friedkin will be sorely disappointed. The Guardian is a strictly run of the mill affair elevated by an interesting premise and amusing f/x, including a couple stellar death scenes. For horror fans, it’s a good way to kill a hour and a half.
This movie wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really good. It was pretty borderline.
