Anchor Bay leads a nice week of releases with The Evil Dead on Blu-ray. Sure, you have a few versions sitting around, but you don’t have it in the crystal clarity that is Blu-ray, yet. Troma makes a welcome appearance as well, releasing Dead Eyes Open and the aptly named heavy metal horror flick, Heavy Mental. Sony Home Entertainment’s direct-to-disc release The Cottage was a pretty huge success among Bloody Disgusting readers as Director Paul Andrew Williams delivered a movie that hit on all fronts. Now, Williams is back with Cherry Tree Lane, a new home invasion flick about a couple who are terrorised in their own home by a gang of youths hunting their son.
