Justin Long (Barbarian) and Iris Apatow (Pretty Lethal) will lead the cast of the killer bee horror movie Stung, and Deadline reports that Odeya Rush (Goosebumps) also stars.
Additionally, Annarah Cymone and Neela Jolene will co-star. Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters, Extraterrestrial) directs the film, which has already wrapped production.
Set against the backdrop of suburban isolation and mounting paranoia, Stung follows four teenage girls whose innocent sleepover spirals into a nightmare when they become trapped inside a luxury Orange County home overtaken by a massive swarm of Africanized killer bees.
Under the watchful eye of their pathetic neighbor Derek (Justin Long), not even he can save the girls from their fate.
The cast also includes Teddy Parker, Kayln Harper, James Baccile, Tom DeNucci, Kea Ho and Rob Goon.
“Stung taps into a very primal fear,” director Colin Minihan said in a recent statement about the film. “You’re trapped, isolated, and under attack from something unstoppable. But beneath the horror, it’s also a story about friendship, trust, and survival under pressure.”
