Exclusive ‘Escape Room’ Trailer Mixes ‘Cube’ with ‘SAW’

It’s Saw meets Cube when an innocent night of fun turns into a cruel game of survival when Will Wernick’s Escape Room arrives on DVD, Digital HD and On Demand October 17 from Lionsgate.

For Tyler’s 30th birthday, his girlfriend Christen gets him an unusual gift: admission to a mysterious escape room event. As they enter with four friends, they find themselves trapped in bizarre rooms where they must solve tricky puzzles in order to advance. But Christen has disappeared, and Tyler is shocked to see her on a video monitor, naked and trapped in a cage while the seconds count down. When the cruel game begins to turn deadly, he realizes they may not all escape with their lives.

The Escape Room DVD will include a director’s commentary, deleted scenes, and bloopers.

The claustrophobic thriller stars Evan Williams (TV’s “Awkward” and “Degrassi: The Next Generation”), Annabelle Stephenson (TV’s “Revenge”), and Billy Flynn (TV’s “Days of our Lives”).

Here’s an exclusive look at the film’s trailer and art.

Been a while since I’ve heard Gravelly Voice Trailer Man.

    • Since Lionsgate has a new horror film to release onto DVD/Blu Ray,they had to recruit him back to voice over narrate their new trailer.

  • Necro

I like films like this. It has that claustrophobic feel to it. Also it doesn’t seem to be a ripoff ‘Saw’ film. It has an R rating so I’ll give it a try.

  • Oliver Riddle

Easy pass. Always with the same generic trailer.

  • Saturn

I wonder at what stage it will be telegraphed that one of the guys is Eddie Brock?

  • Dennis Chenier

Cool. I actually love real escape rooms, so this will be fun to watch.

I don’t understand why there is another moving floating around using your trailer. I understand making sure people are intrigued but it’s confusing…cant wait to see the movie just wish other companies weren’t using this ESCAPE ROOM trailer as their own because there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE
