‘This is Your Death’ Becomes ‘The Show’ for Home Video

A new spin on the classic Running Man, Giancarlo Esposito’s newly titled The Show (formerly This is Your Death), penned by Kenny Yakkel and Noah Pink, is an unsettling look at reality TV where a disturbing hit game show has its contestants ending their lives for the public’s enjoyment. It’s on VOD now with a home video release slated for November 7, 2017.

Carrying intense social relevancy, it captures the sad truths about the world’s desire to be famous. When Bloody’s Ari Drew reviewed the film, he stated, “Bloody and occasionally shocking The Show is mostly over-sanitized satire.”

The indie film, having its premiere at this week’s SXSW, carries this incredible cast that includes Josh Duhamel, Famke Janssen, Giancarlo Esposito, Sarah Wayne Callies, Caitlin Fitzgerald, and even James Franco!

“The Show is about a reality show that exploits the on-camera deaths of its players — on live TV. After a dating show ends in violence, its host Adam Rogers (Duhamel) and a ratings-hungry network exec (Janssen) launch a terrifying new program that promises fresh kills every week. The tension mounts as a kindhearted janitor (Esposito) joins the deadly program, hoping to help his struggling family survive…at any cost.

    Damn.
Reminds me of the Purge where the rich bought the less fortunate.
I’m also picturing it like the hunger games though. That would suck.

You should have posted a different video as this is only for some countries. I had to go on youtube and search it, but the trailer I found made it look awesome. I’m 100% down for this.

It has a decent cast in it, I think I’ll have to try this one out. It’s rated R and that helps in my decision. I know rated R doesn’t guarantee shit, but it fits the premise of the film better.
