Target’s ‘IT’ Blu-ray Will Have Exclusive Lenticular Packaging and Bonus Goodies

Like most major studio movies, the DVD/Blu-ray release of Andy Muschietti’s IT will have many different versions, exclusive to specific stores. We recently told you about Best Buy’s exclusive, which will feature Steelbook packaging, but what about Target?

Available on January 9, Target’s version of the IT Blu-ray+DVD+Digital combo pack will feature exclusive lenticular packaging, along with a set of 5 exclusive “Derry” postcards.

Check it out below.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, 2-Disc Special Edition DVD and all store exclusive releases contain the following special features:

  • Pennywise Lives! –  Discover how Bill Skarsgård prepared to portray the primordial creature known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown
  • The Losers’ Club – Get up close and personal with the teenage stars of “IT” as they bond together during the production,
  • Author of Fear – Stephen King reveals the roots of his best-selling novel, the nature of childhood fear and how he created his most famous monster, Pennywise
  • Deleted Scenes – Eleven deleted or extended scenes from the film

IT stars Bill Skarsgård (“Allegiant,” TV’s “Hemlock Grove”) as the story’s central villain, Pennywise. An ensemble of young actors also star in the film, including Jaeden Lieberher (“Midnight Special”), Jeremy Ray Taylor (“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip”), Sophia Lillis (“37”), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s “Stranger Things”), Wyatt Oleff (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming “Cops and Robbers”), Jack Dylan Grazer (“Tales of Halloween”), Nicholas Hamilton (“Captain Fantastic”) and Jackson Robert Scott.

“When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.”

IT arrives on digital December 19, subsequently hitting 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack/Blu-ray Combo Pack/DVD on January 9, 2018.

Can’t wait to own this fantastic, scary movie!

  • The post cards are cool, though I personally prefer the steelbook packaging.

  • DeathApeDisco

It would be great if you had the option to watch the film with the deleted scenes inserted or without. Surely that’s doable.

    • Chris

      Itll pop up on fanedits.

      • TheHorrorNerd

        What’s that?

        • Chris

A gem of a site. I probably cant post links here can i?

          • TheHorrorNerd

            Is it the subreddit

          • Chris

Yeah. They have a site. Alot of horror movies can be found.

  • Daniel Hammerberg

I almost pre-ordered but then I realized that the packaging only applies to the Blu-Ray edition, not 4K.

  • Bobby1181

Nothing in the world could tempt me to buy an R-rated movie from known editors Target and Walmart.

    • J Jett

do they edit films? i remember Blockbuster Video used to sell/rent edited versions of some horror films.

      • Not here at least, I have bought many horror films from Target that do not censor it’s content at all. Walmart on the other hand does shy away from certain things like religious horror (Changing the Deathgasm logo to Heavy Metal Apocalypse / changing the title of that christmas anthology etc)

  • Jimmy Black

I’ll wait until the directors cut is released along side “IT 2” as a collector’s set. You know damn well this will be double dipped to hell. I’ll buy this for 3 bucks at Family Video in Feb 2018.
