Published

on

We first told you back in June of last year that the original “The Outer Limits” series was headed to Blu-ray, with Season 1 (at the time) date for 2017 release and Season 2 set for a 2018 release. Of course, last year passed us by without Season 1 actually hitting Blu-ray, but today brings the exciting update that the wait is almost over!

Kino Classics will release “The Outer Limits”: Season 1 Blu-ray on March 27, 2018.

The set includes all 32 episodes from Season 1, newly re-mastered in HD, and also includes a 40-page booklet (with essay and episode guide) and 24 audio commentaries.

“A 7-disc set that controls over 27 hours of transmission from the 1963-1964 series, this vessel has sought you out for one specific purpose: to expand your mind to The Outer Limits!”

Special Features:

  • Audio commentaries by David J. Schow (author of The Outer Limits Companion) and film historians Tim Lucas, Reba Wissner, Craig Beam, Gary Gerani, Michael Hyatt and Steve Mitchell
  • THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR TELEVISION SET – 40 Page Booklet Essay by David J. Schow

The Leslie Stevens-created series aired on ABC from 1963 to 1965, with a total of 49 episodes across two seasons.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
