Umbrella Entertainment’s ‘Razorback’ Blu-ray, Restored from 4K Scan, Coming This Year

Directed by Russell Mulcahy, 1984 film Razorback centers on a vicious wild boar terrorizing the Australian outback, and we learned last year that it’s being given new life courtesy of Aussie company Umbrella Entertainment. A brand new Blu-ray is on the way, originally slated for release late last year but now scheduled to arrive this year.

Umbrella just made the announcement on social media that their brand new Razorback Blu-ray will be released in 2018 as part of their “Worlds on Film” collection.

“Newly restored from a 4K scan, Russell Mulcahy’s outback animal rampage is unleashed in a brand new edition with newly commissioned special features!”

Stay tuned for more details.

In the film, “Somewhere deep in the Australian outback there’s a marauding, indestructible creature that can rip a man in half and destroy a homestead in seconds. This giant freak of nature is nine hundred pounds of tusk and muscle – and it is hell bent on terrorizing the small isolated community of “Gamulla” – a town as violent and primitive as the beast that threatens it.”
