Filming has begun on The Lurker, a feature-length slasher film starring genre standout Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween, Halloween II, The Runaways), Bloody Disgusting learned.
The supporting cast includes Naomi Grossman of “American Horror Story”, Ari Lehman, best known as the first Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th, with Adam Huss (“Power)”, Domenica Cameron-Scorsese, Rikki Lee Travolta, and Michael Emery.
The movie centers on a group of high school students finishing a production of Romeo and Juliet. As students and faculty begin to die, it’s a race against time to find the killer and escape with their lives.
The Lurker is written and produced by John Lerchen under his Forever Safe Productions banner and directed by first-timer Eric Liberacki. Other producers on the film include Wynona Ying Li, Nicolas Silva of Silva Shots, Jake Bloom and Michael Monachos of FFIILLMM.
Production began on November 25th and continues through the end of December. The majority of principal photography takes place in Chicago and the surrounding areas and is being shot dual-cam with Arri Digital Cinema Cameras.
