I can’t tell what’s real life anymore, although I can say that I’ll be the first in line to catch Moose, an indie thriller being directed by Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst.

Principal photography is now underway in Alabama on the film starring, get this, John Travolta as a rabid movie fan obsessed with his favorite celebrity action hero, Hunter Dunbar, played by Devon Sawa (who is best known among us horror fans as the star of Final Destination, while others obsessed over his appearance in Casper). As Moose’s obsession grows stronger, his fixation turns from stalking to ambition of destroying the star’s life.

The story was inspired by a real-life fan who stalked Durst many years ago. The screenplay was written by Durst and Dave Bekerman.

Producers are Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi (AMBI Media Group) and Oscar Generale and Daniel Grodnik (Wonderfilm Media).

“There certainly is no shortage of amazing Fred Durst stories to tell, but this one, in particular, is unequivocally cinematic in how it plays out,” said Iervolino.
