One of my absolute favorite things about “BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER” and “ANGEL” to me has always been the frosty-haired hardass Spike played to perfection by the ever talented James Marsters. (Dragonball Not Withstanding) There have been many occasions when I have sat and thought ‘Ya know, I really wish he had his own series. I’d totally buy that.’ and I wont lie when I say I was really bummed when the rumored “SPIKE” television show was nixed by the CW. Well for those that are as big a fan of the vamp as myself you will be pleased to hear that the character will be getting some much deserved face-time this June as IDW Publishing has announced plans for an all new monthly titled aptly, “SPIKE: THE DEVIL YOU KNOW”. Read on for all the details.
“While out and about (drinking, naturally) Spike gets in trouble over a girl (of course) and finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy that involves Hellmouths, blood factories, and demons. Just another day in Los Angeles, really. But when devil Eddie Hope gets involved, they might just kill each other before getting to the bad guys.”
“SPIKE: THE DEVIL YOU KNOW” Issue #1 Drops From IDW Publishing This June! (MSRP-$3.99)
