[REC] writers Jaume Balagueró and Manu Diez, Kidnapped director Miguel Ángel Vivas and producers Adrián Guerra and Núria Valls of Nostromo Pictures (Buried, Red Lights) have all carved out a role for The Punisher and Mulholland Drive‘s Laura Harring in Inside.
Looking to replicate the commercial success of female-driven genre titles from Spain including The Orphanage, The Others, [REC] and Mama, the film is a remake of 2007 French horror À L’Intérieur.
Rachel Nichols, best known for roles in The Woods, P2, Pandemic, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Star Trek, will topline the English-language remake, which “Follows a recently widowed mother-to-be living in an isolated new home who receives a most unwelcome visitor: a predatory woman who will stop at nothing to snatch her unborn child. Trapped and disorientated, the young mother must unleash all her reserves of strength to protect her baby and survive the night.”
Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo directed the original Inside (À L’Intérieur), which we here at Bloody consider to be one of the greatest slasher films ever made.
