Dimension Films is currently sitting on both Hellraiser: Judgment and Children of the Corn: Runaway, neither of which have release dates at this time. It’s impossible to say what’s going on with either one – especially given everything going on with the Weinstein Company – but we may have some new info on the latter film today.
Over on Instagram recently, star Marci Miller noted that the new Children of the Corn movie was “coming soon,” subsequently replying to a fan with a February/March 2018 release plan. Miller plays Ruth in Runaway, the film’s main character.
Again, this is not yet confirmed, but worth a mention nonetheless.
“Runaway tells the story of a young woman named Ruth, who finds herself pregnant after escaping a murderous child cult in a small Midwestern town. Ruth struggles to spare her son the horrors of her childhood while trying to outrun her past.”
John Gulager (Feast) directed the new franchise film.
