Representing Austria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Poland, Turkey, and the U.S., the SXSW will host the World Premiere of the anthology Field Guide to Evil this coming Sunday, March 12th.

The film focuses on dark folklore. Created to give logic to mankind’s darkest fears, these stories and others laid the foundation for what we now call the horror genre.

Spinning tales in Field Guide to Evil are Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy), Peter Strickland (The Duke of Burgundy), Agnieszka Smoczynska (The Lure), Katrin Gebbe (Nothing Bad Can Happen), Can Evrenol (Baskin), Calvin Reeder (The Rambler), Ashim Ahluwalia (Miss Lovely), and Yannis Veslemes (Norway).

Creepy tales of possession, curses, love, lust, and envy, Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive first look at the segments from Greece’s Yannis Veslemes, Hungary’s Peter Strickland, and Poland’s Agnieszka Smoczynska! Watch for our review out of the fest.
