Official ‘Venom’ Trailer and Poster Embrace the Monster Within!

Published

on

WE… are Venom.

Sony didn’t make the best first impression with their initial teaser trailer for director Ruben Fleischer’s Tom Hardy-starring Venom, which showed us a lot of Eddie Brock but none of Venom. Have no fear, because the official trailer out of CinemaCon tonight, as previewed by some leaked footage earlier, shows the monster off in all his glory!

Eddie and the Venom symbiote become one for the entire second half of the trailer, with Brock struggling with his newfound alter ego. By the end of the footage, he has fully embraced his inner monster – or inner anti-hero, if you prefer – completely transforming into Venom in a pretty spectacular moment that we can’t wait for you to see.

So what are you waiting for?! Check out trailer and poster below.

Venom arrives in theaters on October 5, 2018.

Woody Harrelson is rumored to be playing Cletus Kasady, who becomes the vicious symbiote known as Carnage, alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott.

Written by David Michelinie and drawn by Mark Bagley, as well as Ron Lim and Sam Delarosa, the movie is inspired by “Venom: Lethal Protector”, a six-episode limited series that notably reinvented Venom from a Spider-Man villain to a Marvel Comics anti-hero. In it, Venom moves from New York City to San Francisco after coming to an agreement with his former foe Spider-Man. (IGN)

As for “Planet of the Symbiotes”, another inspiration, Eddie Brock’s relationship is with his symbiote and the influence it has on him is explored. Also written by Michelinie, “Planet of the Symbiotes” follows Venom fighting an army of symbiotes with the help of Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

As someone who is obsessed with UFOS (or more recently known as UAPs) and the concept of extraterrestrials, I love a good documentary. Sightings have been on the rise since the 1940s, with the atomic bomb seemingly acting as a catalyst for new visitors. But what are these UFOs/UAPs? Is there an explanation or are they simply beyond our explanation? Why are they here? Who are they? How much do our governments know? The questions are endless and so are the documentaries that attempt to uncover the secrets behind decades of sightings and alleged confrontations.

Whether you’re a seasoned viewer or new to the rabbit hole, there’s always a handful of interesting documentaries to get your neurons firing and leave you with sleepless nights. SCREAMBOX is investigating with the addition of several docs, all streaming now on the Bloody Disgusting-powered service. Here’s the breakdown:

Aliens Uncovered: ET or Man-Made (2022): The crash of Roswell wasn’t meant for New Mexico. In 1947, a neighboring state had 3 major sightings that were swept under the rug.

Aliens Uncovered: The Golden Record (2023): In the late 70s, the US government launched a message to our distant neighbors.

Roswell (2021): This high-flying documentary examines the July 1947 crash of a United States Army Air Forces balloon at a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. Theories claim the crash was actually that of a flying saucer, but what is the truth?
