Thirty years after fan fave The Monster Squad, Fred Dekker and Shane Black are back this year for another monster movie, this time turning their attention to 20th Century Fox’s The Predator. The hunt comes to suburbia in the franchise’s first new installment in nearly ten years, and the launch of the teaser makes today Predator Day!

In our first official look at Shane Black’s “explosive reinvention” of the franchise, Jacob Tremblay’s character messes around with some Predator technology, unintentionally piloting a Predator spaceship to certain doom here on Earth. From there, we catch up with a group of assassins, led by Boyd Holbrook, who go on a little hunt of their own.

The Predator returns on September 14, 2018

In Shane Black’s The Predator, written by Black and Dekker…

“From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.”

Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Edward James Olmos, Alfie Allen and Yvonne Strahovski star.

Jake Busey plays the son of Gary Busey’s Predator 2 character.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
