First Look at Linda Hamilton In Now-filming ‘Terminator’ Sequel!

Published

From target to warrior, Linda Hamilton is returning once again as Sarah Connor in the next Terminator, allegedly already filming in Madrid under the direction of Deadpool‘s Tim Miller. The new film erases the ugly future of bad sequels and instead follows the events in James Cameron‘s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Thus, Hamilton returns as a now-seasoned warrior who will once again go up against the machines. Linda Hamilton Fans (viaThe Terminator Fans) has shared the first-ever look at Hamilton in the newest entry, which is reminiscent of the aged T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) that we saw in Terminator Genisys. As excited as I am right now, all I can think about is how badly I want to see Edward Furlong return as John Connor.

Miller and Cameron recently found their new Terminator in Gabriel Luna, who appeared as Ghost Rider in ABC’s superhero series Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

The Terminator was resurrected by Skydance’s David Ellison in concert with James Cameron, who gets back a lot of the reversion rights to the original 1984 movie, next year. They’ve tapped Tim Miller, the Deadpool director. Luna joins Blade Runner 2049‘s Mackenzie Davis, Diego Boneta and returning cast members Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, with David Goyer writing the script. Natalia Reyes (Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas) and Diego Boneta also have been set to star in the next film.

Paramount releases the film on November 22, 2019.

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
