Bloody-Disgusting Presents The Gunship Picture Disc!
We’re beyond excited for this announcement and have been waiting for this day for a long time!
One of our favorite albums from last year was Gunship‘s self-titled release. After blowing our minds with their video for “Fly For Your Life”, the band’s 13-track collection cemented their place as one of the best examples of the retrosynth resurgence that has taken place over the past few years.
Gunship’s music is lovingly drenched in the glamour and decadence of the 80’s and the band fully embraces the sci-fi and horror aspects that were so prevalent during that time. Their videos use clips from films such as Blade Runner and Escape From New York while their song “Tech Noir” features an opening monologue from the master of horror himself, John Carpenter!
Our passion for Gunship led us to connect and team with them on this new release that we can finally announce today: Bloody Disgusting Presents the Gunship picture disc!
A retro-tastic homage to the 5 1/4 inch floppy disk, a holy gaming relic long passed, now a glorious collectable vinyl including an ultra limited double sided picture disc, nostalgic references and neon soaked artwork.
We couldn’t be more proud to team up with Gunship for this release! The album will ship on August 7th. Pre-orders are now live.

Norway’s deepest fjord isn’t just unleashing a mythic monster in Kraken, but its monstrous deep sea parasites as well.

Samuel Goldwyn Films will release the Kraken in select theaters and on digital June 12.
Here’s the synopsis: “A marine biologist encounters several strange occurrences while researching a fjord, including the brutal deaths of two local teenagers. At the bottom of Norway’s deepest fjord rests a mythical monster as large as a mountain, with a myriad of arms ready to crush and devour anything they can grab.”
Pål Øie (The Tunnel) directs from a script by Vilde Eide, Kjersti Jelen Rasmussen, and Natasha Arthur.
Sara Khorami (Troll 2), Mikkel Bratt Silset, Øyvind Brandtzæg, Jenny Evensen, Ingvild Holthe Bygdnes, Jon Erik Myre, Hans Morten Hansen, Steinar Klouman Hallert, and Filip Bargee Ramberg star.
The behemoth beast from the deep is the latest kaiju-sized aquatic creature harboring a horde of bloodthirsty parasites, joining the likes of Cloverfield and Underwater. Naturally, the Kraken itself serves as the much bigger threat.
It’s also about time that the Kraken received its own feature; though Meg 2: The Trench featured a Kraken-like beast in its climax, the Kraken hasn’t been fully unleashed since Clash of the Titans.
Watch out for the Kraken in limited theaters and on VOD this Friday.
