NSFW: Cattle Decapitation Assault the Senses With “Clandestine Ways (Krokodil Rot)” (Exclusive)

Published

We’ve been longtime supporters and fans of deathgrind band Cattle Decapitation. When no one else would dare show the world their video for “Forced Gender Reassignment”, we stepped up, planted our feet firmly, and premiered the controversial clip. And since then, we’ve proudly premiered several other Cattle Decap videos, each of which assaults the senses, both visually and aurally.

Today, we’re continuing that trend by bringing you the exclusive US video premiere for “Clandestine Ways (Krokodil Rot)”, which is directed by long-time collaborator Mitch Massie, who also directed “Forced Gender Reassignment”. The song is a terrifying commentary on animal experimentation for cosmetics research, only the lyrics turn the tables around and the tests are being conducted on the humans who previously held the animals captive.

Vocalist Travis Ryan explains to BD:

Mitch Massie once again hurls us into a nightmarish world of the eye-for-an-eye table turning that Cattle Decapitation lyrics exude, but this time in a much more surreal manner. Here we see the circus has come to town and with it a grisly ‘freaks’ exhibit featuring the barbaric aftermath of what the protagonists (the ‘Ringmaster’ and a freed ‘specimen’) have done to the leading researchers at Cosmeugenics Laboratories – a place where Cosmetics testing is performed on earthen creatures all in the name of Human vanity – but this time by completely incorrectly administering the clandestine, flesh-eating drug ‘krokodil’. I’ll leave out the horrific details as you’ll have to see that for yourself!

Now, even though this video states that it’s the “censored” version, do not be fooled. There is still nudity, violence, gore, and torture, so be VERY careful on when and where you decide to watch this.

You can pick up your copy of The Anthropocene Extinction via Metal Blade Records.
