Wojciech Golczewski (‘Beyond the Gates’, ‘We Are Still Here’) Shines in “The Puppet’s Dream” (Premiere)
Polish composer Wojciech Golczewski has made a strong name for himself, having composed the fantastic We Are Still Here, Late Phases, and 400 Days as well as the upcoming films Beyond the Gates and Tonight She Comes. But his work isn’t limited to just film scores as he has an upcoming album of original music titled Reality Check that will be coming out this week via Death Waltz Originals!
Golczewski tells BD:
Reality Check is a concept album compiled of material composed and inspired by my various work for the motion pictures over the last few years. Stuff that didn’t make it/got rejected or just didn’t fit. It can be described as a horror sci-fi soundtrack with influences from my previous demoscene and chiptune heritage together with more recent synthwave and electronica.
To celebrate the upcoming release, we’ve got our hands on the exclusive video premiere for the track “The Puppet’s Dream”, which is a beautifully crafted video that uses sci-fi and spacecraft footage to create a journey through space.
Director Matt Stuertz explains, “For “The Puppet’s Dream” video I wanted to create a theme of loneliness that unexpectedly builds into a sort of chase sequence with an unknown alien entity. Wojciech always wanted a bit of an old-school grainy feel so luckily we were able to find some footage that matched that aesthetic and also looks great in HD.”

The mind-bending psychological thriller will be released in select theaters and on demand on June 12 via Vertical.
Simone Ashley (“Bridgerton”) stars as Mia, who awakens from a coma, grievously injured, her memory fractured. As she puts the pieces of her past together, she starts to question her own actions and her perception of reality.
In This Tempting Madness, “Mia awakens from a coma grievously injured, her memory fractured. As she puts the pieces of her past together, she starts to question her own actions, and her perception of reality.”
Jennifer E. Montgomery makes her feature directorial debut from a script she co-wrote with director of photography Andrew Davis, inspired by Montgomery’s first-hand experience with tragedy involving her best friend.
“Months before the incident, there were signals that her world was unraveling,” says Montgomery. “I could feel the pressure building, though I didn’t know what form it would take. I never could have known what violence would come, and I certainly never imagined making a film about it.”
Austin Stowell (“NCIS: Origins”), Suraj Sharma (Happy Death Day 2U), Mojean Aria (Reminiscence), Amol Shah (“For All Mankind”), and Zenobia Shroff (“Ms. Marvel”) round out the cast.
Smoke Jumper Films and Mango Monster Productions produce in association with Catchlight Studios (Heretic, The Blackening).
This Tempting Madness is rated R for “language, violence/bloody images, and brief sexuality.”
