Just woke up from my turkey induced coma. In more important news, Bethesda, creators of Fallout 3 will be releasing a bit of downloadable content and to top it off a creation kit. What does that mean for you? Let me break it down.
The editor will be called The Garden of Eden Creation Kit, for short, G.E.C.K. I do dig the poetic irony of calling it the “Garden of Eden” creation kit, seeing as you spend the game in a completely destroyed world. The kit will allow those who have Fallout 3 for Windows, to create their own content to add to the game. What exactly does that mean? G.E.C.K. will allow you to basically do whatever the hell you want with the game. Create, modify, and edit any of the games data, you can make characters, weapons, landscapes, buildings, anything! You’ll be able to download the creation kit sometime this month. Now for the downloadable goodies. Three downloadable content packs are going to be coming to Xbox 360 and Windows starting in January that will add new quests, items, and content to Fallout 3. Looks like there will be a new content pack each month from January to March.
• Operation: Anchorage. Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders. An action-packed battle scheduled for release in January.
• The Pitt. Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. Choose your side. Scheduled for release in February.
• Broken Steel. Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest. Scheduled for release in March.
